If you’re reading this, chances are you may be trying to make some challenging decisions for a loved one. Going through the process was an eye opener. It’s challenging to find openings and in a location that is convenient for family and friends to visit.

We were very fortunate to have found Hartland Place! The administration is very kind and compassionate, treat residents with respect and communicate well with family. They address concerns professionally.

Kristi and her team; Lindsey, Adam and Andrea have all been a blessing and truly care.

After we toured a few times and met with the new administration, we decided that Hartland Place would be a good fit for our mom. We definitely made the right decision. The home is clean, bright, and welcoming. There seem to be daily activities for the residents. Since my mom has been there over the last couple of months, they have had musicians in to perform, school kids in to visit with the residents, and a couple of parties along with the normal daily activities. The staff is very conscientious and caring. All of the aides that care for the residents are hardworking and always busy, and they all have provided my mom with great care. I would like to recognize one aide in particular, Jakayla, who has spent extra time with my mom to make her transition into Hartland Place successful. It has been truly appreciated.

The team at Hartland Place are very caring and friendly. They help care for our family member who can be challenging at many times. She’s been there for over seven years now. From the moment we walked in to discuss mom moving in we knew this was the place for her. The building was very tastefully decorated, clean and had a friendly atmosphere ( it still does). The staff have been very good with mom, especially when she cannot get her phone or TV to work 🙂 I cannot thank the staff enough for what they do for my mom. It has been a blessing to know that mom is being taken care of by people who care about the residents. I would recommend Hartland Place to anyone who is seeking an assisted living lifestyle.

Hartland Place was great for my mother-in-law. The team was incredibly welcoming and provided good support for her even as her needs progressed. The rooms are generously sized, have private baths and the outdoor courtyard provided a nice place to get some fresh air. June enjoyed the activities - especially the music and a trip to enjoy holiday lights around the neighborhood.

My family does NOT recommend Hartland Place. The staff turnover rate is extremely high. During the almost two years that my mother resided at Hartland Place, there were three assistant directors. Additionally, there were at least three different activity directors, often having no one for significant periods of time. The quality of activities was often poor on site, and there were very few activities that the residents attended outside the facility. There were no regular trips to the library, community plays, or the movies. In the last year, there were a few drives through the country and two trips to Olive Garden. Between the unfilled positions and the staff absences related to illnesses and other personal business, the facility often ran short staffed. When the staff present can only meet basic health and safety needs and there are constantly new caregivers, the relationships between staff and residents are poor and the engagement in conversations and genuine interactions minimal.

When I first toured Hartland Place, I noticed how clean, bright and homey the community felt. The modern dining area provides a comfortable setting for the residence to eat.
When picking up my mother for a day out, I often find a caregiver sitting with her and helping her with her coat before she leaves. During Holiday celebrations you can find the staff dressed up for the occasion or encouraging the residence to participate in the celebration. I am so happy I found Hartland Place. I know my Mother is in a safe and happy environment with people who want to make her feel special.

My mom has been at Hartland Place for two years. She loves it there. They have a lot of activities that she enjoys. One of her highlights is getting her hair done weekly without leaving the building. The staff is very friendly and helpful to both her and I. She likes that it is a small community and has made many friends there. She stays in good physical condition and looks forward to the exercise classes which sometimes she gets to lead.
