A great Winter get away and really good place to get your "hygge" on! Soak away those winter aches and blues in the out door hot tub while gazing at the stars, also, we were able to see the distant glow of bald knob cross from this vantage point. Kick back and relax in front of the indoor gas fire place or venture out to the pavilion on the property that has a rustic stone fire place with plenty of chopped wood provided by the owners. We loved our time here and look forward to doing it again.

Renter is dishonest and off putting with hidden charges based on lies.

You can tell they aren't booked often so they try to nickel and dime their guests. Before us the guest book showed they hadn't been booked since May...that's a month between guests..no wonder they try to steal your money.

There website doesn't even function properly. You can't book on-line...which I thought was charming at first but learned it's just part of the disfunction of the ownership.

More Ticks and Wasps then Shawnee National Forest. We each found a few ticks on us after walking down the driveway of the cabin. No ticks when we went hiking at Jackson Falls. The hot tub area is infested with wasps. Hard to relax when they are flying over your head the whole time. The nest is located on the deck by the hot tub. I have pictures.

You ARE being filmed without your knowledge or consent. Camera is on pavilion pillar facing toward the cabin. Creepy.

The owner is a nightmare. Very hard to deal with. We got in a car accident 2 days before our trip and luckily everyone was okay, but we told her our car might not be ready in time to make it and she said we better get a rental car because she was going to charge us for the vacation either way. We even told her we could provide the insurance assessment as proof IF we needed to cancel...didn't care.

You will have to pay A lot of Extra charges at renters discretion that she doesnt confirm with you fist, have posted, or explain. For example $50 if the bathroom rugs get wet. I have pictures of the text she sent me. She literally was going to charge us $50 for bathroom rugs being wet..because they were too wet? I tried to explain 3 people were rinsing off before hot tub use (used every morning and night), and 3 people were showering and using the jacuzzi tub...yes bathroom rugs get wet...but what's the measurement for a bathroom rug being too wet? Also, We put it in the laundry area...so it would be laundered as it is just a cloth rug. We also bought and left laundry soap and dryer sheets for next guests.

$50 for late check out. We were only 30 minutes late and it was because we were cleaning and making sure everything on her checkout list was done. Check out is at noon. We left at 12:29. We even emptied garbage outside on pavilion that had old beer cans in it that wasn't ours. We cleaned inside and outside and were only 30 minutes late, which she already approved when she called at noon to check on us and confirmed we could have 30 more minutes to finish cleaning her cabin-' 2 hours later tried to charge us $50 for late check out.

$50 for excessively dirty hot tub. I have pictures of the hot tub when we left. It is immaculate. We rinsed off before every use. We even wiped our feet off before getting in to the wasp infested hot tub. Leaves would fall from the tree right above the hot tub and we even picked them out and cleaned it up for her! We did make use of the hot twice a day for 4 days..so normal bubbles began to accumulated. I have pictures of us using the hot tub the morning we left and the water looks good. Also, what (in her mind) constitutes an excessively dirty hot tub? We left the hot tub in immaculate shape with minimal bubbling from 4 nights of use twice per day. I can give proof to anyone that wants it. I am so offended and off put by her false accusations because we worked so hard to make sure to maintain the cleanliness of this charming and clean cabin.

We rented this cabin for our 14th wedding Anniversary and to celebrate my 40th birthday. We are highly recommended guests and have NEVER had a problem with ANY renters before. We take A LOT of trips and when we find good renters and beautiful cabins we are loyal to those renters. We tend to spend thousands on trips to Southern because we love the area. We were looking for this place to be one of our new home away from homes, but I would rather tent camp and use a latrine then deal with this dishonest and off putting renter.

Clean, beautifully appointed cabin. Great porch and hot tub. Very nice. A few things we wished for were. A night side table on both sides, a foldable luggage rack in each bedroom, some hooks in the bedrooms for hanging things. And extra toilet paper. Otherwise it was just perfect. ( very small details)

We stayed a while back and can't wait to go back. The wildlife is incredible, right in the middle of the wine trail and a wonderful view of Bald Knob Cross from the top floor. My husband and I got engaged here. Wonderful memories!

This place is beautiful. And the owner is awesome. She makes you feel right at home. Muffins, coffee, juice etc. Very peaceful. I love it.
