Our experience at Taylor River Farm has been nothing short of extraordinary! When we decided to change barns, we didn’t know what to expect—especially from one so highly decorated with awards and world championships. Walking into Taylor River was like stepping into a dream. The hallways are lined with stunning 16x20 images of trainers, riders, and horses proudly displaying championship ribbons and plaques from Grand National and World Championships. We expected a formal or intimidating atmosphere, but what we found was the complete opposite.

From the moment we arrived, the warmth and kindness of the community blew us away. The youth riders immediately introduced themselves to my daughter, gave her a tour, and made her feel like part of the team. Parents and trainers alike introduced themselves, creating a truly welcoming and inclusive environment.

The barn itself is immaculate. Every stall is pristine, generously bedded with shavings, and houses beautiful, well-cared-for horses. The facilities are second to none: a heated and air-conditioned barn, a wash room with heated lamps and water, and a 200-foot indoor arena with a sprinkler system to reduce dust—though the stunning rubber footing makes that hardly necessary. The tack rooms look like they belong in a movie, and Taylor River running behind the barn is breathtaking.

By just the second lesson, Sarah Gove had already suggested a personalized training plan for my daughter. The trainers here are world-class, decorated with countless accolades, yet they remain humble, approachable, and genuinely invested in their students’ success. Their teamwork, professionalism, kindness, and support are unmatched.

This is a horse-first culture through and through. The horses’ wellbeing is always the top priority, with a dedicated team of grooms caring for every horse like it’s show day, every day. As a farm manager myself, I’ve never seen anything quite like the level of care, transparency, and excellence at Taylor River. There’s no “behind the curtain” here—just honesty, hard work, and a true passion for what they do.

We are so incredibly grateful to have found this new community for both my daughter and me. It’s an honor every single time we step into the barn. Whether you’re a family new to riding or a professional equestrian, you won’t find a better barn than Taylor River Farm!

This is a beautiful place with the most amazing staff. They're ready to help if you're an experienced rider or if it's your first time jumping on a horse. They show so much love towards the animals and also everyone that walks in the door. I hope this place stays here forever🐎❤

The instructors are wonderful! The horses are beautiful and a pleasure to ride! I took a long break from riding, after 3 lessons I feel my strength and confidence coming back.

As an adult that has only ridden western and was looking to expand my horizons and improve my physical well-being, I tried a Groupon here. I used one of the five lessons that I purchased. The trainer was more interested in her phone than working with me, or teaching me. I know I'm old and out of shape, but the unprofessional attitude ensured I would not return. I was so looking forward to making this Groupon turn into a long-standing part of my new focus on health, fitness and learning. Truly sad.

This is a great place for training to ride show horses. The grounds are well maintained, the horses are incredible and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.
