Katie and her team were wonderful from the moment I reached out to Taste for our wedding catering. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tasting, as every dish was so delicious that it made our decision quite challenging! On the big day, the team arrived on time, and the food was absolutely amazing, just as we remembered from our tasting nearly a year prior. We also had their bartending package, which was worth it as they took care of almost everything!

The reason I’m giving a 4-star rating is that the staff didn’t seem to focus much on my groom and me during the event, which would have added a nice personal touch to the service.

We were informed that a tray of cocktail appetizers would be set aside for us, but we weren’t sure where it was placed. By the time we sat down for dinner, we discovered the appetizers were ice cold, having been out for quite a while. We ended up eating them while waiting for our plates, which took about 40 minutes to arrive, despite our request to be served first during coordination and waving down a server to check on our meals.

Overall our experience with Taste was really great, and I have no regrets booking them for our catering and bartending services.

Katie and her team did a PHENOMENAL job catering our 200 person wedding at Indian River Life Saving Station. Going with them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Katie was extremely organized, attentive and flexible. She went above and beyond for us to ensure our day was absolutely perfect. The food itself was AMAZING. We received tons of compliments from our guests saying that it was the best wedding food they ever had. They also noted how hot it was when it came out. Our plated choices were the filet, crab cakes and pesto chicken. All the filets were cooked at a perfect medium rare (which rarely is pulled off at weddings). We went with a raw bar which was also a huge highlight. I would 100% recommend Taste for your wedding catering.

Thank you, Taste Events, for the EXCELLENT service in catering our son's wedding reception at Willowbrook in Bridgeville, DE. From the very start, we were pleasantly impressed by the planning, tasting, decision-making and organization we received. The food at the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception was top notch and our guests were giving rave reviews. Crab cakes, short ribs, caesar salad, pork sliders, truffle mac n cheese, chicken, green beans, scalloped potatoes, shrimp tacos. A+++ and highly recommended!

Highly recommend Taste Events for any momentous occasion. We had the privilege of having Katie and the Taste Events team to celebrate our special day with us, and the food was as spectacular as when we had our tasting. All of the guests loved their meals, with no complaints. Every allergy, dietary restriction, or personal preference of how each guest liked their food was executed which especially made me happy. A comment that will always stick out to me was our flower girl loves plain chicken, which was notated on our final meal list, to have the prosciutto cream sauce on the side. She raved about how good the chicken was and how special it made her feel to have her meal preference honored.
Communication was always prompt and thorough, they did a lot of the communicating with other vendors (such as cake and rentals) which took a lot off of our plate, and everything ran smoothly, from cocktail hour to clean-up. Choose Taste Events for any of your catering needs, you will not regret it!

I am deeply disappointed and frankly angry at the complete disaster of this catering service for my 2021 wedding. It seemed at every turn there was something wrong and I keep learning more and more from wedding guests just how bad everything was. This will be lengthy but please heed my insight before pursuing this catering company.
After booking Taste Events services for both my rehearsal dinner meal and my wedding, I was excited. They came so highly recommended and our tasting was delicious. That is where the quality stopped.
Unfortunately the weather for our wedding weekend was cold and rainy so that made many things complicated however cold food and bad service should not have been on that list. As we rearranged the layout for the day, the charcuterie table was tucked into a random corner and most of our guests did not know it was there during cocktail hour. I will say that the passed apps and quality of our drinks seemed to be all good. Our wedding toast was supposed to be a local cider that Taste Events purchased a keg of for the event. However they did not bring the right tap (so we were told) and could not provide that to our guests until the right tap was secured. They served angry orchard instead (which was a fine alternative given the situation) however such a situation that was a meaningful thing to us should not have happened. The majority of the food served was cold when guests went to the buffet line. We had a relatively small wedding with just under 100 guests. We paid for extra meals as well (paying for 105 guests not including vendor meals). Guests that were at the last few tables to go to the buffet did not get food. Many of the trays were empty or nearly empty at that time however we took home a ton of extra food after the wedding so it is clear that the food was not being maintained or attended to by event staff. The fact that there were guests I paid an astronomical amount of money for that did not get food is inexcusable. Furthermore, the two vegetarian meals we asked for were a 'pile of mush in a pepper' according to the guests that required them. The only meal that was 'good' was the singular kids chicken tenders meal we purchased... something I could have purchased from the local fast food joint. To say I am upset by this entire ordeal is an understatement.

One of my biggest frustrations throughout the entire event was that the director on site came to me with every little question. I recognize that as the bride I was the caption of the ship so to speak but the ridiculousness of the questions I was asked was insane. Disrupting my wedding celebration for questions and problems that I would expect the catering/event director to handle is not ok. I felt as if I should have just been on staff and working the event at times. My mother and sister were both listed as day of contacts for all of my vendors yet they were never asked for anything from Taste. The lack of professionalism and ability to problem solve was just wild. I do believe (and this is just my personal opinion) that a significant amount of the issue was that the event director was also getting married a week or two before our event and handed over responsibilities to someone who was not up to the task. Our day of event director was incredibly sweet and kind but just did not measure up to the task.

After discussing a few of the issues (some of these issues I was unaware of just how bad it was at the time) we were offered a few hundred dollar backs. The compensation is appreciated but does not remotely make up for the disaster that was our wedding catering. I will never use Taste Events again nor recommend their services to anyone.

I worked with Katie for our daughter's wedding party on our beach in Broadkill. From the very beginning she as remarkably attentive. She immediately understood what I wanted and built a menu that was perfect. Chef was really available for being creative and on site he was terrific. The food was outstanding and everyone complimented me on everything. In addition, all the staff was excellent and the bartender was a hit!
I will always go to Katie for any other events. By the way, I did deep research and they were by far the best in the entire area. Outstanding and superb!

Katie and her team were absolutely amazing. Taste was not our original caterer and when they unprofessionally cancelled 4 months before our wedding, I contacted Taste. They jumped right in and took over the contract. Katie and her team were so fun and made our night even better than we could have imagined. Still almost 7 months later people are saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. They have my highest recommendation!

Katie and her team at Taste are just incredible. Katie is like having a whole additional wedding coordinator. Due to covid, our wedding plan had to change several times and she was right on it and super flexible and easy to work with throughout the process. She couldn’t have made it easier. Not to mention the AMAZING food! Everything from apps to entrees was absolutely delicious. I can’t say enough good things about them!
