Rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit for the weekend. Lovely unit and well stocked. The pool by the lake was nicely shaded; but mosquitoes and other bugs were a small issue and no public bathrooms near. Good view of the lake. Built on a hillside so challenging for a daily walk. Also utilized the playground with our granddaughter.

Wonderful view from the patio. Ours was a large 2 bedroom unit downstairs. The bedrooms are huge and so are the beds. The staff in the office are fantastic and very friendly. The best vacation resort we have ever stayed at

We had a great VRBO rental experience at SSLR. No contact check-in & check-out was simple, quick & convenient. The grounds were well manicured and spotless. And the view couldn't be beat!!

I gave the resort one star because of the functional air conditioning and great view of Lake Hamilton. My family and I have been staying at resorts on vacations for 30 years (timeshare). And these are the worst accommodations we've ever experienced. We had a 2 bed 2 bath that smelled musty as we entered. Very old, damaged carpet and wallpaper that was completely stained and peeling. Water spots on the ceilings. The following morning, we all (including my 2 children under 3 yrs old) woke up with scratchy throats and runny noses. Symptoms resolved when we spent the day outside of the resort. We complained and were given another room with the same conditions. The air in the place seemed better but our symptoms returned after a couple of days. The lake side pool had mold between the wall of the pool and the ground (there was a gap) and the railing you use to safely get in was very unsecured and shaking as you held it to enter. We very much enjoyed the town of Hot Springs and will return but would rather camp in our trailer than stay at South Shore Lake Resort again.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Hot Springs. My family has stayed several times. If you're military, find it through AFVC for great rates.

Great view, nicely decorated, no shampoo provided for the price. Very steep hills, plan to drive to the pool if your not located on the same level. Located close to Kahuna Marinia
