The visitor center is inside a turn-of-the-century spa nestled in the historic district of the town. It was an interesting tour (self-guided) and very different from the visitor centers of other National Parks. The rangers and park information is all on the ground level. The museum portion of the visitor center is three stories, including the basement. There is an old elevator that still works that you can ride, or you can take the stairs. We were able to drink cooled water from the spring out of a fountain and my dog was able to earn her B.A.R.K ranger certificate here.

I was tired after long day of driving..
A very nice young lady saw that I could use some assistance and offered me a chair , water, cool spot to rest. Her concerns for me were heart felt. I appreciate it and thank my little Hero. ARIEL was a Jewel .
I wish more Rangers were that attentive. and considerate. The Park was nice too.

20241002 The employee was so helpful. There was only 1 stall in the ladies room working. They have a sheet of all the restrooms nearby. It comes in handy to have a copy if you are walking around. It has a waterbowl for the pups. Metered parking on the street... have sure you have coins!!

This place was incredible. The amount of work it takes to keep places like this preserved for future generations is immensely important. The architecture and the design of the entire building, truly jaw-dropping. I highly recommend visiting if you are in town.

This is a really nice visitor center in Hot Springs National Park. It's an old, historic bathhouse that used to use hot water from the natural hot springs. There are lots of interesting exhibits throughout this beautiful building. I would recommend anyone visiting Hot Springs National Park spend some time at the visitor center.

Great way to see a bathhouse. Very friendly and staff answered all your questions. See how the bathhouse was in the 20's. The hot springs have been capped and go into the basement to cool. They you went to your bath. They were separate from women and men. They had cooling areas. Two bathhouse working and they gave you information about both. Visit this first for information and relax and the porch in the rocking chairs. Make sure to see the spring outside.
