I went on the Artic Circle tour, Skyfire offer different tours based on the seasons and solar activity.

This in a long tour deep into Alaska wilderness. The route is a maintain dirt road, the views are breathtaking, there are several stops along the way for scenic views. Very beautiful, sometime you can spot wildlife. Mr Bill, deeply cares about his customers, providing snacks, local information and protection. I was impressed how he would maintain his vehicle, cleaning it several times during stops(trash and windows). Do to his charismatic character, he made the time more enjoyable with conversation as we drove the long hours up to the artic circle. This is his own business, and he maintains it as best as possible.

He brings camera gear you can borrow or gives you amazing tips for getting the most out of your own camera. His humor, advice, and delicious hot drinks help make this the best tour in Fairbanks!

Went with Bill for the Arctic Circle trip. Bill is very prompt with communications and replies. He’s also a professional photographer and took and shared photos later. He is also very knowledgeable and shares a lot of information, stories and interesting topics during the drive. It is a great way to see the northern wilderness of Alaska and also reach the Arctic Circle. Highly recommended!

Our family had a great experience with Mr. Bill on the Arctic Circle tour. It was a small group, so we had a chance to learn a lot and ask questions. We loved the sights and were also able to find a few geocaches! It was a great bonus to be picked up and dropped off. We hope to do an Aurora tour in the future.

We took a tour with Mr. Bill up to the Arctic Circle. It was a long road trip, 10 hours, but he was so knowledgeable about Alaska and the pipeline, the time just zipped by. He had great suggestions on camera settings and always made sure we stopped for awesome photo opportunities. We would absolutely tour with Mr. Bill again! Thanks for a wonderful adventure!!

It was a few weeks too early for the aurora but I still wanted my family to experience the remoteness and expanse of the beginnings of the arctic. But Bill, our guide and owner of sky fire, was hands down the most knowledgeable and personable guide I've experienced. He gets strangers to experience strangers....people talk, questions asked, stories are told and it's driven by love and passion. You know when you're experiencing a place for the first time and something good happens to you like finding the love of your life there and then you think of that place in a good light? This is that. This tour could be of the fairbanks sewer system and Bill would still make you feel glad you were there. But we're talking about a trip to the arctic circle. The landscape feels bigger than Denali, than Yellowstone, Yosemite, west Texas, and in some ways even the ocean. If I had driven it alone it would not have come to life by Bill's spirit and knowledge.

Bill was a great guy, we went with others on this tour and the location was amazing and private. He showed us how to search for the aurora and how to use the camera and we got some spectacular pictures. The only thing I would say is that for a 6 hour tour, we wish we had hot coco or something to drink like the rest of the tours we took that week, afer all it was at least negative 26* F. The website states it was offered but then when we were in the van, none was available not even an alternative option like a small bottle of water, otherwise we would have come prepared. I do recommend the tour.
