They did an excellent job in teaching basic winter skills and mountaineering, and then followed it up with a guided hike to Mt. Washington. Due to pace, we opted to finish our ascent at Lion Head, but that was spectacular in itself. Unbelievable views! Glenn is a great guide!!! The equipment rented/provided was perfect and of very good quality. I would highly recommend the two-day mountaineering experience.

Phenomenal experience! The training with Mike was very well structured and he is extremely well prepared for any questions. I learned lots of new information about hiking in the winter. On the Mt. Washington climb, Debra was very friendly and very helpful! I loved every second of it. Although I was too tired to make it to the summit, I still felt very accomplished. Very well structured company and overall I am extremely satisfied with the experience!

I recently had the pleasure of hiking up Mt. Moosilauke with Redline Guiding’s Michael Scire, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, he was very knowledgeable, professional, personable and fun. Hiking in the winter conditions on this challenging mountain could have been intimidating, but Michael made me feel safe and supported every step of the way.
Redline makes it a point to get to know you and what you want out of your experience. I spoke with my guide several times pre-hike for them to make sure my gear, experience and goals for the day matched our chosen mountain for the weather and conditions. Redline Guiding truly goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience, and I couldn't recommend them enough for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the White Mountains in winter. If you're considering a guided hike, Redline is the way to go!

Had a terrific experience with Redline Guiding, and highly recommend their services. Mike and Chase were very clear and responsive with their communication when setting up the hike, and Chase was a great guide on the trail. Glad to have their help to get a challenging winter hike done.

Amazing day! Very responsive to questions before the hike and planning appropriate gear and checking weather conditions. My guide shared a ton of additional information and answered even more questions I had about hiking more of the 48 4Ks in the future on my own. Guides are a wealth of experience and knowledge. She also pointed out many different plants and other interesting things along the way. Great conversation, if you like to chat. If not, that’s ok too. Pace was good for me as I’m a slower hiker. Checked on me to make sure I was hydrated and feeling good. I felt very safe. I had wanted to hike both Pierce and Eisenhower on this hike, if possible based on time and my ability. When we got to top of Pierce and had lunch we reviewed how much time it would take and calculated when we’d be back to car based on my ability and how I was feeling. We did it! Time was absolutely perfect! We even had time to see a beautiful waterfall a little bit off trail on the way down. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. I’m already signed up again to hike Mount Washington in the future. In the meantime I feel more confident and better prepared to hike more on my own. Plus they offer other classes to help you learn how to use a compass, introduction to backpacking 101, wilderness first aid, winter hiking and more.

Perfect day climbing Mt. Pierce. My guide Ken prepared me to take care of myself with an half-day winter skills course and when we got on the mountain the next day, I was ready … and Ken also stepped in when necessary to help me with some gear and to keep me on track. I’ve climbed in the White Mountains for 40 years but had not done a winter hike higher than Low’s Bald Spot. I knew I needed guidance to stay warm and hydrated while moving forward on snowshoes. Great experience.
