Traveller look elsewhere. Gross floors, broken doors, not clean, ceiling tiles moldy and falling down, shower dirty. This motel could do so much better. While I expect lower cost to mean fewer amenities and less quality furnishings, there is reason to have things so broken and dirty. I finally had to clean the floor myself to even want to take off my shoes and the towel I used was super black as a result. So glad it was only a one night stay. The owners should decide if they actually want to be in the hotel business and do differently. This is just unacceptable

I did not experience any roaches, per the previous guests; I am hopeful that means the pest control is working.
HOWEVER, I also contained my food scraps, leftovers, and garbage in a bag in the fridge so they would not be attracted.
Be mindful, it’s not always the hotel’s lack of attention; sometimes it’s the guests.

DEAR HOTEL OWNER,
PLEASE REMOVE *ALL * YOUR POSTS ABOUT YOUR CLEANING PROTOCOLS.
The first room was so disgusting, I didn’t even want to use the phone to call the front desk. Doing a bed search, there was more dna/body hair on the mattress cover, and debris, than I’ve ever seen.
I asked for a second room.
That one was not much cleaner, and the entry door lacked secured locks, the deadbolt refused to latch and the second lock (which flips over the ball) was missing a piece.
I ended up having to secure a table and wedge the chair to feel comfortable (but then laughed at myself when I figured out some one could bust thru the window pretty easily).

The water was hot. The front desk person was pleasant.
The breakfast was substandard.

I’m thinking that Red Roof Inns will no longer be a part of my journeys. They have been very lacking, and other then the free pet thing; it’s becoming less appealing.

I do not recommend.

It wasn’t a business trip or a vacation, I was from out of state and had come back for my father’s funeral.
The room was pretty beat up but appeared clean. I pulled open drawers, and checked the mattress seams, pleased to find no sign of bedbugs or cockroaches anywhere, so my first night (before the funeral) I had a wonderful nights sleep. The bed, the pillows, the hot water, all were more than adequate.

However, upon returning to the room after the funeral, I discovered a cockroach just boldly hanging out on the corner of my iPad.

I got a pic, and took it to the front office. They did not offer to switch my room. They did not offer any kind of refund. They did, however, kindly provide me with a can of Raid.

So, I’ve now completely poisoned the entire room (including the ceiling), and everything is slippery and smells like poison, and I am not able to sleep or eat and I’m stuck here for two more nights waiting for the greyhound that will take me home again…a grueling 16 hour ordeal.

This is definitely grounds for at least a partial refund, isn’t it?

Two days later, another cockroach. In my breakfast. I guess the Raid doesn’t actually do anything to keep them away.

As I stated before; I have stayed at this motel every year for over 5 years, and it has seriously gone downhill. The place just needs an overall face-lift. Comforter/Blanket was stained badly, though the sheets were clean and bug free. The tub was grungy, and the service was very "whatever." I hope they clean the place up. I really liked this location.

Positive: The staff is actually nice and the coffee is great Negative: It could be cleaner, however thats what i do for a living so i see the most of everything. Housekeeping is so friendly and sweet and never gives us a hard time for needing anything though!

Okay, first off I'll start by saying it's a little early in my stay here to say too much, but the fact that I thought I should hop on here and give a review in order to save people some time and money, is saying something. Neighborhood is shady, decent amount of homeless activity. Room is pretty beat up, metal doors
dented, paint chipping in large quantities, bathroom is very small. When I think of Red Roof inn it is definitely not what I'm experiencing currently. If you have the extra 15 bucks or so to stay somewhere a little nicer, definitely do that. One last thing, I won't let this Red roof inn experience determine if I stay at a different property of the same business. 2 night's paid for so I hope it gets better or at least doesn't get any worse

Positive: Friendly owner, although his English was broken and hard to understand. Negative: Wasn't the cleanest, no towels or wash clothes in the room, wall side of door lock missing, paper thin walls, breakfast was about non-existant, needed some updating.

At first glance it seemed kind of iffy.
But , the rooms were clean , decent breakfast and friendly staff. Would recommend if you have family or friends enrolled at ISU. 10 min. from the campus.
