My experience at the Birth Center and with my doula, Lauren, was amazing. I unfortunately didn’t get to deliver there because of position of baby, progression, and my water being broke for too long. The Birth Center talked me through my options and they were so supportive! I couldn’t have asked for a better group to take care of me. I would give them 100 stars if possible!!!

One month ago I had the best birth experience I could have asked for thanks to the Birth Center of Bloomington Normal and their amazing midwives, especially Amy who let me squeeze her hand the whole time, rubbed my back, grabbed me a cold rag, and told me reassuring things the entire time. I will never forget how much she helped me. This was the absolute best birthing experience and I would do it 100 times again. It was such a relaxing stress free environment total opposite of my hospital births. And my recovery this time around has been amazing and so much quicker. If you have the opportunity have a birth center birth. 🤍 thank you to all of the amazing midwives there!

The Birth Center has provided my family with the BEST care. Every single prenatal visit I felt heard, every phone call/message felt sincere and like I mattered, our birth experience was phenomenal. If you want peaceful, informed, and compassionate care this is the place for you! Everyone was wonderful! We had Jamie and Ashley for our birth and they really provided us the best care!

I delivered my first child at the Birth Center just nine days ago, and I could not be more pleased with their competency and care. Coming from 50 minutes away, the Birth Center is well worth it; even with laboring in the car for that long! Their prenatal care is top notch, and I appreciate how they will accommodate more holistic health choices (as much as possible) when requested. Everyone is well trained and very kind, and very on it, and very competent. The birth itself was fantastic. All of my requests were accommodated, and for the most part, I labored how I wanted. When I needed some coaching and direction due to the baby getting hung up on the lip of my cervix, they gave me great help and advice, and what would likely have been an automatic c-section in a hospital was simply 20 minutes of pushing in a unique position with some manual assistance. Postpartum care has been just as fantastic, with a lovely easing over from birth center to pediatrician with Trish the NP bridging the gap. Overall, I have no complaints, and would recommend them to anyone having a low risk birth. They even won over my very traditional and highly skeptical dad with their professionalism and competency.

I wish I could give the birth center more stars!
I just had my second birth there in June. So different from my first 2 hospital births. Everyone there is so kind and helpful, from the office staff, all the way to the midwives. They always addressed every concern or question I had. I couldn’t recommend them enough to moms who are wanting to have a natural and empowering birth experience!

I just had my second baby at the birth center and I cannot recommend them enough! They truly listen and care about their patients and provide TONS of education throughout prenatal care that is all evidence based.They really prioritize parents making informed decisions about their pregnancy, labor, and babies. For both of my deliveries at the birth center I felt so cared for and encouraged to trust in my body to do what it was meant to do. Postpartum appointments are also very supportive and everyone makes you feel cared for and heard. They also have the best IBCLC in the area who is a wealth of knowledge. You can even go to the birth center for routine women’s health needs outside of pregnancy and birth, which I have utilized as well. I am so grateful to have them here in central IL! Thank you Birth Center!

The staff is completely unprofessional in how they handle disputes. Especially when they’re at fault.

My friend who was a mother receiving care here is currently trying to fix a clerical error by a receptionist that they just fired, Nyla. Then, the office billed the old HSA instead of the new insurance that would’ve covered all pre and post natal care. While my friend tried resolving this since March, and they just recently sent a letter in the mail stating that the balance has been sent to collections.
After my friend challenged this, the office admin, Stephanie and Buffy, became unprofessional and nasty, not self-realizing their negligence.

If you want someone who will work with you and be diligent about billing your insurance, do not come here. It will only bring you stress.

I had my daughter here last night and I have to say, I am so incredibly grateful for the staff here. My midwife Amy was so amazing throughout my entire birth and was so supportive, encouraging and caring. My nurses were so incredibly kind, supportive and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful ladies who helped me deliver my baby. As a first time mom I was unsure about what to expect but they helped put my mind at ease and helped me bring my child into the world in the most magical way. I cannot stress this enough- the care you will receive here is top notch. I have absolutely zero regrets about choosing to have my baby here and I am so grateful my husband and I had such an amazing experience.
