We absolutely LOVE Pere Marquette Lodge. We have gone three years in a row now for an Eagle Tour through the state park office. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. We especially love playing cards and backgammon in The Great Room. Breakfast is super and dinner has something for everyone. We were grateful they accommodated our food allergies in a friendly manner without hesitation. We anticipate returning for our romantic getaway again next winter. We love the lodge but our favorite part of the trip is seeing bald eagles…so many of them!!

My wife and I went to Pere Marquette Lodge for a quick two day getaway. We were able to take advantage of the special package for mid week overnight stays by calling and selecting the Eagle Package which included a complimentary dinner, breakfast and two drinks.||The main lodge area is very impressive and even though we've stayed previously it never ceases to amaze on the quality of the construction and sheer size. It's also nice to have several different games available (lodge provided) to sit and enjoy while taking it all in.||The room was very clean and neat and plenty of room for the two of us. It came with a king bed, table, cushion chair, tv and two windows for plenty of natural light. ||We found the chicken dinners in the lodge restaurant to be some of the best we've had. The waitress was friendly and very responsive. While we didn't use the pool we did sneak a peek and found it to be clean and inviting.||We will be back, as we enjoy the many trails in the park located a very short walk from the lodge.||The Newberry's

Such a wonderful place for a getaway! We visited during February and utilized the Eagle Package, which was a great price for all it included. The restaurant was so surprisingly good we ate there both nights. The gathering area is so welcoming for a sit by the fireplace, or in a chair by the windows overlooking the river, or at one of the tables for a game of checkers. I recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing time away. Can't wait to visit in warmer months to see what more they have to offer.

Nice place. Very rustic. Great ambiance. Food was great. The staff were very unwelcoming. Really felt like they didn’t want be there. Sauna was broken. Hot tub was filthy. Hope it’s better in the regular season. Wine bar server took off in prime time predinner rush to “restock” drinks appeared for 45 min. When I went in to get a drink, she was sitting on couch and seemed really annoyed I was there. Misty in the restaurant could have cared less we were there, and would have preferred we didn’t come at all. She was ready to go home. Jodi at breakfast was AMAZING! She should train everyone! Don’t expect a cocktail. They’ll send you to the restaurant and they have no idea how to make even an old fashioned. Game pieces in the lodge were missing. Just overall, not well kept up. Overall. It was a way overhyped experience.

This was the Bald Eagle package which includes your room (King or 2 Queen beds), plus a voucher for dinner for two (from select menu), two drinks (wine, beer,etc), also coffee or tea, and breakfast for two (buffet). The accommodations were clean and extremely comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful especially for first time visitors. Enjoyed the large indoor pool, sauna, and steam room! Best part…spotted 18 bald eagles in the tree line across the river with our binoculars. Wonderful, relaxing visit.

We enjoyed a delightful getaway to this historic lodge for their special "Eagle Watching Package" offered in January and February, Sunday through Thursday. It was a great deal which included a lodge room, two dinners, two drinks and two breakfasts. The room was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable!||We enjoyed a walk around the cabins, nice dinner and then a relaxing evening in the hot tub before a good night's rest. Breakfast was a buffet, good coffee and service was great! We hope to visit more often as it is a beautiful drive and so close to St. Louis.

If you enjoy views, hiking, biking, horseback riding, eagle watching, visiting nearby wineries, like great food and wine served on the premises, staying in a lodge and/or cabins for longer stays or just visiting for a day, then Pere Marquette Lodge & Conference Center is the place for you. The facilities are modern but has the woodwork and craftmanship in the decor and main areas that is not duplicated in today's construction. The best thing to do after dinner is to settle in with the drink of your choice in a large seating area in the Winter that features a giant stone fireplace. During other times of the year there is a large patio to take a break or end the day. The staff is professional, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. All in all we enjoyed our stay immensely and have already booked a return stay.

The staff were accommodating, i needed a room on first floor or elevator. They were able to accommodate me. The temperature was comfortable. The beds seemed a bit old, but all was clean. The room did not get tidied between day 1 and 2. I ate several meals at their restaurant, and they were good. Because it is out of town, delivery of pizza was not available. It snowed and the roads were icy, but the staff shoveled and salted the sidewalks. Went to the pool, which was clean. The pool too cold for me, but the hot tub was large and clean. If it was summer, like my last visit, I would have gone swimming. The lobby is very welcoming. It has wooden, rustic charm, I could spend the day just looking out on the grounds or nestling near the fireplace. the area is peaceful and invites taking a long walk. I will return when the eagles are passing through in late January.
