Hubby and I enjoyed our one night of camping here. No amenities as the park is no longer operating as a campground although it appears to still be maintained. We just pulled off to the side of the parking lot and set up with our generator. Walking down to the water's edge and exploring the monument was a fun little adventure. In the morning we biked down under the bridge and then up into Cairo. Honestly it seemed like a ghost town - we only saw one other person aside from the lady working in the library (the library is awesome!). Neat sights to see and peaceful.

This was an unexpected and beautiful place. It is rare to see two mighty rivers converge as you see here. There is a pleasant well maintained park and you get incredible views across both rivers. Well worth a half an hour!

Campground is closed, due to high water river flooding too many times.. Park anywhere, overnight. Trees, grassy area, lookout structure. Peaceful at night. No other campers. At the convergence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. Plenty of tugboat activity, especially at night. Patrolled by local cops. Two minute drive to Cairo, which has an interesting historical library. Not much else in town.

My partner and I stopped here on our way home from Tennessee and it was beautiful! I definitely recommend stopping, even for 5 minutes! Lots of history here and the view is beautiful!

The concrete structure resembling a steamboat’s bridge has seen better days, but the park is nevertheless a wonderful place to visit. You can see the Ohio and the Mississippi join in realtime, which is amazing. It’s also a great place to watch as barges and boats drift past.

This place could be incredible if anyone kept it up, but between the state, town, etc it’s a tug-of-war on who runs it. It’s a great confluence and there’s an old observation deck for a better view. It’s a shame they don’t capitalize on such a great spot.

No charge to enter, so it is definitely worth the price of admission. You can drive almost to the tip of the confluence of America's two mighty rivers. There is an observation deck that provides a pretty good view, though I wish it was higher than the surrounding trees. 10 minutes is sufficient time to take it all in, minutes including the tugboats and barges that idle right next to the shore awaiting their next voyage (the diesel fumes were an unpleasant intruder).
