Here’s something to add to your bucket list of things to do in Ocean City MD. If you never been on the OC Rocket Speedboat, the only thing I can say is hold on. At this time the instructor will give you instruction of what not to do and what to do to be safe. This OC Rocket Speedboat will start off slow, cruising out to the ocean. This OC Rocket Speedboat will take you up and down the ocean for a 1 hour ride along Ocean City Beach to see some Dolphins, if they’re around. Within a few seconds you’ll experience a thrill ride of speed, bouncing up and down on the waves, twist and turns, pulling you side to side, as the wind blowing in your face, and yes, you will get splashed from the ocean if you’re sitting on the inside seat along the wall of the boat. So I advise you to wear something that you do not mine getting wet. If you have on a hat or any kind of valuables, hold on to them or you will lose them during this fast and furious speed boat ride. #oceancitybeach

My family and I have been coming here for about 5 years and have done the OC Rocket two or three times and we’ve had wonderful experiences. However this time was just purely awful. We had bought our tickets on Tuesday to go on the ride later in the evening, just to find out it was canceled because the water was to choppy, completely understandable. So, we got “rain check tickets” so we could come back and be able to go the boat. Almost all week after that they had kept canceling due to the weather. About a day ago we were at the beach and it was stormy and the waves were huge, and was foggy and rainy and we saw the OC Rocket out there. Fast forward to today and it’s a gorgeous day out, and they canceled the boat for all day because “it’s just to foggy”. Very confusing. It’s our last day here in Ocean City. So, we wanted a refund which we were told we couldn’t have because we don’t have our receipts of purchase. There is 5 of us including a 11 year old kid who was so excited to have a great experience. When we got our “rain check” tickets we were not told to keep our receipts and that if we wanted a refund we had to do it that day. We had paid over $100 all together, and the excuse was that because I had paid with card that even if I had my receipt, they wouldn’t have been able to refund my money anyway due to their machine clearing out every night. Absolutely TERRIBLE. In no time in this whole experience were we told to keep our receipts, and that if we wanted a refund that we had to do it the same day we purchased our tickets. There were many other people there who were just as frustrated and angry as my family was. My family is out over $100 and this was a very terrible, awful experience for a lot of people. Very sneaky on the businesses part. Be careful, they will cancel boat rides whenever they want even if it’s a beautiful day out and be sure to keep your receipts. The boat ride was so cool and it went so fast. We seen so many dolphins it was crazy. Looking at the coastline was super cool and how we got to vote if we wanted to get wet or not (our group voted yes to getting wet which was great) I was sitting towards the front so I got a little wet. Definitely recommend going here if you in the area and I definitely want to do this again if I'm in the area.

I pre-purchased tickets for my family in the morning for later that evening boat ride. The 5 pm ride was canceled because the waves were too large. Throughout the week the Boat ride kept getting being canceled. Last day of trip I called to verify they were going out l, they were. Made the 20 minute drive to have it canceled again. Was told it would be canceled for the entire day because of fog. Requested a refund as it was our last day and was told I needed a receipt. Their policy is not posted anywhere. Not on their store front, website, on tickets or communicated when you pre-purchase tickets. I guess customers are just supposed to be omnipotent and know this information. I asked the young lady two times if I could speak with the manager. But was told he was on the phone and not available. I’m not a stupid person and no, he just did not want to be bothered and come out and speak with me. I made the trip back to my condo back down to Talbot street with receipt and hand. This time the manager was there. As I had the OC police meet me there because of the complete hostility, I received the first time and needed somebody to maintain civility. Sean, the manager finally makes his appearance and NOW INFORMS ME OF A NEW POLICY, that rain checks are not refundable. You have to be absolutely kidding me at this point. So not only are the policies not posted. They keep changing, depending on who you talk to. Sean, was extremely rude to me condescending and clearly does not know how to be a manager or speak to a woman. The height of his rudeness came when he told me and my cousin that he never wants to see me or my family at the OC rocket again. That we are not welcomed. BECAUSE I ASKED FOR A REFUND!!! because the boat kept being canceled off and on for an entire week!!!! As if I would ever patronize such a business establishment ever again. This indignant manager Also managers M.R. Ducks, right next-door. With the receipt in hand and proof of purchase, he finally conceded to refund my money. He said I can see you’re not going to leave here until I refund your money. And he was absolutely correct. I don’t know about anyone who is willing to just take over $120 tear it up and little tiny pieces and throw it away. The craziest part I return to my condo and see the OC rocket driving past my condo. 🤦‍♀️

Really wasn't anything impressive. Basically a boat ride up and down the coast with a 3 minute "thrill ride" on the way back. The Captain doesn't explain or give any information about anything you pass. Which is a shame because they have some sights like the Coast Guard, etc.
Nothing to write home about. I've been on these speedboat tours in NJ and they at least talk you up the whole time giving you information. At least it was a nice day. But I wouldn't likely do it again in favor of finding a more interesting ride.

I highly recommend Assateague Adventure boat tour. The captains are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They even left us off the boat on the island. Will definitely do again.

First time on the OC Rocket and we very much enjoyed the experience. Of course it was rocky going out, but all excitement! Great experience for the family and friends - promise it will be pure laughter!

Wow! This was such a great boat ride! We saw so many dolphins it was unbelievable! The captain was fantastic at talking and explaining parts of Ocean City. They even did some turns and spins which was awesome!! I’ve been on lots of boat tours and the OC Rocket is the best!!
