We had an amazing experience going through all 3 canyons! Our tour guide, Jake, took great care of us and gave us a good debriefing throughout out the entire tour. He was very knowledgeable of the area and encouraging to the whole group. He took us at our novice level and made us feel like pros with his 7+ years of experience. Even though we all took a little dip at some points, we felt safe and had fun. There were great rapids and great scenic parts to enjoy nature and see some wild life along the way. We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants adventure in the beautiful nature of Alaska.

Zack and Maria made sure our first trip to Alaska will be one of the best things we've ever done. The process of checking in and getting gear was extremely easy. We were made to feel right at home. The glacier tour was awe inspiring. The assured our safety and taught us a ton as well.

Check in was very smooth. We met our guides Nate and Drew and got instructions, fitted with our gear and had an excellent trek out to the Matanuska Glacier. Learning how to ice climb was the highlight of the trip. Nate and Drew had so much information about the area, the flora and fauna and stories to share. It was the highlight of our trip to Alaska! They were really good to see how we were feeling throughout the hike, asking if we wanted to do more climbing. We did 3 different walls - the last one was just under 30m! It was great instruction, showing us how to make a V thread, making a spigot for glacier water, and staying safe all day. I would highly recommend NOVA Alaska Guides to all who are in the Glacier View area.

What an amazing day! Guides Thomas and Drew are so much fun! Both were exceptional mountaineers and extremely knowledgeable about the glacier, and local history. Our group was able to explore many glacial features and experiment with ice climbing. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our glacier tour. Maybe the best part of our Alaska vacation. Nate was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable and safe. I recommend this for all ages. Well worth the money. Thank you Nova for this great experience.

One of the best experiences ever. Our guide Steven took us on an exhilarating and informative trek into the glacial back country. He showed us some incredible features in the glacier and ensured that we were safe the entire trek. We even roped up to traverse over some incredible crevasses. 10 stars for this adventure!

Ice climbing with NOVA was incredible & an experience our family (2 adults with our 17 & 20 year old kids) will never forget! Thomas & Ben took us on a safe, challenging & epic adventure. They were super clear on gear & safety instructions, lead us through all kinds of terrain, shared lots of knowledge about the glacier and we had a blast the whole time. If you choose to do this activity - and you definitely should - be prepared to hike 2+ miles out to the glacier through tough terrain, climb for a few hours and hike the 2+ miles back. Bring water & snacks, wear good hiking socks (you will be hiking in mountaineering boots provided by NOVA), reapply sunscreen during the day and bring layers that can easily be taken on & off while wearing a climbing hardness & helmet. Climb on!

We did the Glacier excursion tour with Nova and it was absolutely amazing! They provide you with proper care and the booking experience was really seamless! Our guide Nate was awesome, experienced and told us some amazing facts about glaciers and different glacier features! All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone looking to do a once in a lifetime experience!
