My husband and I stayed at the Lucky Loon Boat House in Petersburg Alaska in May 2018. It was an amazing place with an expansive view of Frederick Sound and snow covered mountains, glaciers, icebergs, seals, eagles, seabirds, and sometimes whales. It had all the amenities you could want with lots of extra touches, local art, comfy beds with water views, a huge Viking stove to cook on, a covered porch to relax on with our coffee. The owners were great, answering all our questions and making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We can’t wait to return! We highly recommend this hidden gem.

If you are looking for an amazing location and home to stay in this place is it!!! No better place to stay in Petersburg. We stayed from September 13-16th 2018 and the weather was absolutely amazing while we were there, bright stars every night and as we sat at the water the last night we watched the shooting stars as an Orca whale swam in front of us chasing a sea lion.......seriously a totally magical experience!!!! We couldn't have asked for a better few days.
