Our breakfast experience at this establishment was truly delightful. The service was exceptional—attentive, efficient, and welcoming. The food itself was equally impressive, with thoughtfully prepared dishes that offered a refreshing take on classic breakfast staples.

The hash browns stood out in particular, featuring a unique depth of flavor that set them apart from the traditional variety. The sourdough bread was also a highlight, perfectly textured and well-balanced in taste. The bacon, while generously thick-cut, leaned toward the saltier side and may not appeal to those who prefer a crispier preparation.

Overall, this restaurant offers a wonderful breakfast experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a satisfying and well-executed morning meal.

From the moment we walked in people were so friendly with us despite the crowd– – – And it didn’t feel fake. The menu selection is robust and the food itself is delicious. The muffin selection is huge. They have donuts galore that they make on the premises. And they have gluten-free and vegan options. Vegetarian options. I completely recommend eating here when in Hanover. Breakfast or lunch.

What a treat! Fast, friendly service that’s worth the wait. The Smokehouse Bowl is unique & delicious. I wish I had gotten a slice of chocolate mousse cake To Go—it looked tantalizing.

Lous was incredibly helpful to my family putting in an extremely last minute request for my Gramma on her 90th birthday, while my Grandpa was a patient at Dartmouth. Lacy answered my call after the shop was closed and her and the Lou's staff was able to get a large chocolate cake with lots of frosting (my grammas request) by the next morning. The delicious cake and hospitality were extremely appreciated in a difficult time.

Had an amazing breakfast at Lou’s Restaurant! Ordered the breakfast steak and egg quesadilla and the California breakfast sandwich. Both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The quesadilla had tender steak and perfectly scrambled eggs, while the California sandwich was fresh and hearty. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was friendly and quick. Definitely a go-to spot for a satisfying and delicious meal!

Outstanding local dining experience on the main drag in Hanover. This local establishment has been around since just after WW2, and is a mainstay of the Hanover scene. Although it’s moved on from its diner roots, there are plenty of old favorites that harken back to that era. I went with a breakfast burger - bacon and eggs on top of a huge patty served with a side of home fried potatoes. The baked goods also looked fantastic and the coffee was excellent. Very filling, simple, and done very well. There is inside and outside seating, good service, and great food.

Cold food. I'm pretty easy to please because I'm a great cook and appreciate someone else cooking for me. But both our meals, although they were quick to come out, were stone cold. The butter didn't even melt on my waffle. The waitress was very accommodating but when breakfast costs $50 bucks for two people, eggs, sausage & toast and a waffle & bacon c'mon. It wasn't awfully busy so...I don't get it I guess. Bummer.

This place is the cutest little diner in Hanover. It’s like a blast from the past with all the pics and booths and low bar seats. The food was delicious (chicken and waffles!!) and service was great (considering Sunday brunch rush). The pies that we came to pick up, unfortunately, were just average tasting. We’ll def be back to try the other things on the menu.
