We stayed in Little Bear Getaway Cabins for two nights on our way to McCarthy. Getaway is the perfect description. These cabins are super cosy, situated within a gorgeous landscape. They are luxurious and simple at the same time. They have everything that is needed, nothing that you don‘t need and some extras like wi-fi. Check in and out is easy and our hosts Kaydee and Luke are super nice people. I sure hope to come back one day. I can do nothing but recommend this place!

Definitely one of the most comfortable cabins I've stayed in, and a great value. Not quite "glamping" - it's rustic but with a lot of thoughtful touches to ensure comfort and an overall relaxing experience. Kaydee was a great host, very down to earth and available. Great views of the mountains and surrounding landscape. Very clean/tidy facilities. We only spent a night here on our way from Homer to McCarthy, but we wished we could spend more. Highly recommended!

The Cabins are perfectly located, on top of a hill with amazing 360 views of mountains. Room was cozy and packed with all essentials. We stopped overnight for glacier tour which is just 15 mins drive away; wish we could have stayed more. The owners are so amazing with their hospitality and all the help needed. They even had a scavenger hunt set up in rooms for entertainment which we found to be lovely and unique experience. Highly recommend staying at these cabins for a pure remote Alaskan life experience. Book well in advance!!

This place is amazing. Was an incredible experience, and I am glad that I had the chance to watch the northern lights here. I got here just by coincidence. But it was a 10 of a 10. Nice place to go to matanuska glacier.

These cabins were amazing. We stayed in the Blue Moon cabin and absolutely loved it. Very clean and well updated. Romantic lighting, comfy bed, and a table to sit at in front of the large window. Very peaceful location with amazing hosts. Parking is easy and the scenery in all directions was beautiful. We’d stay here again for sure when in this area. Price was very good for what they have here. True gem!

We were so incredibly lucky to stumble across these magical cabins and the their wonderful, hospitable owner. The location is surreal in its beauty, the cabins themselves lovely, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, and Kaydee was a gracious host who helped us on more than one occasion to feel at ease and taken care of. At first, we were wary of staying in dry cabins, but we had a clean, private bathroom just a stone's throw away... basically making it fancy adult summer camp 🙂 And the breakfast at Sheep Mountain Lodge (3 mins) away was so delicious every morning. Highly highly recommend this place to anyone traveling Northeast from Anchorage!

I had the most wonderful time staying at Little Bear Getaway Cabins. I was traveling with my family and friends, and we booked the cabins on a lark as a stopping place between Talkeetna and Valdez. We all fell in love immediately upon arrival—the most beautiful setting, and the most intimate, sweet details in all aspects of the cabins and surrounding property. We realized this is the place we wished we had more time, and amazingly we were able to stay another night. We had wonderful and easy communication with the host, and we were able to cook together in the communal areas, enjoy fires at night, and overall really find the relaxation we were hoping to find in our trip. We enjoyed all our excursions in the area, and each time we felt so happy and content to go back "home" and enjoy time at the cabins. Thank you to Kaydee and I cannot recommend staying here enough.

We stayed at Little Bear Cabins in Glacier View on our way back from McCarthy to Anchorage. There are three cabins, all of which have their own private outdoor seating area. The kitchen was well stocked - cutlery, crockery, stove top, microwave. The bathroom space is common but each cabin has their own assigned bath/shower area. We had no issues with this. The hosts also arranged for a mini treasure hunt which was fun. We spoke to Simm and Sabin, both of whom were great. Would highly recommend. Oh, and be sure to eat at Sheep Mountain - great food.
