We had a great time exploring the tundra with Shannon. We very much enjoyed learning from her vast amount of knowledge about the local plants, animals, and environment. Shannon's homemade lingonberry shortbread was the best thing we ate on our whole trip, and paired well with her tips 'n' hips tea.

I loved this snowshoeing tour. Shannon is cool company, a great guide, and very knowledgeable about the forrest and animals in the area. She taught us tricks for identifying different animal tracks, which was fun. The area itself is absolutely beautiful. ? Totally worth it. And to top it all off, we got to spend some quality time with sweet Cooper ?.

I can't say enough good things about this company. My snowshoe tour was very informative, exciting and great exercise!

I arrived at their adorable cabin in the woods and was greeted by Evan and Shannon, the warm and personable couple that run this business. They explained "snowshoe 101" to me and my partner and made sure we had adequate clothing, giving us some extra hand warmers just in case.

Then we headed out for an hour and a half of exploration. Snowshoeing their trails was one of the best experiences I've had in Fairbanks. The sun was shining beautifully through birch trees and the snow glistened. I couldn't stop taking pictures, it was so pretty! Evan and Shannon were great guides, pointing out all sorts of tracks and plants that I would have overlooked. Their knowledge of the forest is deep and it adds so much to the experience. They are both scientists so they are ideal companions for this type of trip.

By the end of the trip I was ready to head back into the warm cabin and relax with some tea. This was a great way to end this wonderful day. If you're visiting Fairbanks or even if you live there year round, don't miss this hidden gem of a tour!

This has to be one of the most unique experiences available in Alaska. The moment we arrived we could tell this was going to be something different.

The evening started with dinner in Shannon and Evan's cozy cabin. We learned about everything from the forest and nature surrounding us to dry-cabin living. The food was delicious, especially dessert, and we found Shannon and Evan to be extremely interesting people. They live a dream life and have such a unique world around them.

After dinner we headed out into the cold for our snowshoe walk. This would be a wonderful walk in the daylight, but adding the luminary lights and the quiet, still of a dark forest created an otherworldy experience. Our conversation jumped around to so many subjects, we learned about everything from lichen to quinzhee building. The view of the stars was incredible.

We had a great time trying to capture photos of this beautiful experience, and Shannon and Evan were very patient and never made us feel like we had to hurry along. Of course, the pictures don't even come close to doing it justice.

If you find yourself anywhere near Fairbanks, I highly recommend taking this tour. You will remember this forever!!

We had the BEST time snow shoeing with Shannon. She was very knowledgeable about Alaskan nature and was so great at teaching and answering all of the questions we had for her. We would 100% do this again, I highly recommend!

Evan was an excellent guide for my snowshoeing adventure to experience the boreal forest!!! Leaf out nature has passionate guides who are extremely knowledgeable about the terrain. The sheer breadth of their knowledge is inspiring. Evan also was on top of things, helped provide me warm things and ensure that I was comfortable throughout the hike. 10/10 would recommend!!

We had a wonderful time with our guide Shannon! We originally had booked for the 1pm-3pm time slot, but Shannon reached out to let us know there was a conflict with her schedule. She was super flexible and worked with us to pick out another time on the same day so that we could still go out! We ended up going a little later that day, and it was great because we were able to catch the sunset. Shannon was extremely knowledgable about native plants and wildlife. We learned so much on our trip. We would highly recommend these snowshoeing guides!

Tony and I had a 2 hour evening snowshoes tour starting at 7 pm, and it was amazing! Evan and Shannon are really nice and most knowledgeable people we have met in Fairbanks. We did lots of popular activities in Fairbanks like Dog Sledding, snowmobile, and Reindeer Ranch but this snowshoes tour in the magic forest is definitely the most special and meaningful experience among all!
