Rookery Woods at the Keswick Climbing Wall is an amazing place! Outstanding outdoor play area, which is very carefully and thoughtfully designed to inspire young children and bring them close to nature! Excellent and friendly staff! Our 3 year old toddler loved it and played for hours! The cost is just £5 per child which is fantastic!! Highlighy recommended if you are in the area! It's very close to the Castlerigg Stone Circle which is great as well!

In addition to traditional indoor climbing walls for adults and older children, their outdoor natural playscape Rookery Woods is amazing for Under 8s. Imaginative use of mostly natural materials to create a large range of activities such as Zip Wire, Marble Run, Wobbly Bridge, various themed climbing structures (with slides, cargo netting, tunnels, trap doors etc), Mole Hill, Animal Hide, Archery ( sucker arrows), Balance Beams, Barry Badgers Bungalow, Skittles, Magnet Fishing and so much more. An activity sheet is provided whereby children look for coloured sheep hiding in Rookery Woods with each bearing a letter that spells out a name. Excellent value at £5 per child for the day where you can come and go - we took a walk to the nearby Stone Circle , and returned then could have come back later in the day. Our 2year and 3year old grandsons have experienced lots of this type of playscape but both gave it a 10/10. Highly recommended

Fantastic place for kids to do plenty of things. It is situated in most iconic and scenic spot of the Lake District National Park. Plenty of car parking spaces available outside. The climbing Wall offers something for everyone. Outside play area include Zip Wire, Multi Story Castle, Hidden Dens, Maze, Soft Archery, sheep hunt etc. They charge £5 per child for a day. I also recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing place and people. Took my 5 and a half year old Granddaughter who is pretty good at climbing for her age although obviously still quite little. Will was a fantastic instructor. Sussed fairly quickly that the first wall was a bit too easy for her and tailored the rest of the session to suit her capabilities and needs. He both pushed her gently by giving her harder tasks and balanced that brilliantly with masses of encouragement. She must have gone about 10-12 climbs in the space of an hour. He gave her choices about which wall she wanted to do next- just perfect for her. Such a lovely guy. All the staff were really helpful and lovely to everyone. My daughter and her husband are big activity people and are lining up some time there too when they next come to stay with me! The range of things they do is amazing- in the most stunning settings. Fabulous place and people. Thank you so much everyone.

I have been here with all four of my granddaughters in the last year and all of them had a great time (as did the accompanying adults). On this trip, I took my granddaughter aged 10 to try some indoor climbing. She was guided through this by Rachel who had great patience and a very child-friendly manner. Her teaching skills were very apparent. After that we both participated in an archery session taken by Martin. Rachel joined in too. We had a very funfilled session. We learned a lot, and laughed a lot. Thanks to you both for an enjoyable and memorable afternoon.
