What an amazing experience we had! The house is charming with eclectic antiques. We had a fireplace in our room! Liza is an incredible host, she took such great care of us. She is so accommodating and friendly. She cooked and served us a 3 course breakfast everyday with amazing service. We spent our evening in their living room by the fireplace.... It was simply magical and relaxing! We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Tartan Fox on a quick trip to Keene, NH to visit my son who coaches soccer at the college. It felt like I was walking back in time. It had a rustic vibe on the outside and the inside captured the nostalgia of society from decades past. Antiques and historic charm, wide floor boards, and hosts that feel like old friends. The homemade breakfast was delicious and the coffee... hot! We will be back!

My husband and I just stayed at the tartan fox for 2 nights and loved every second of it. The breakfast was the highlight and I loved the cranberry white chocolate scones and the eggs benedict. Mike and Liza were great hosts and the home is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed learning about the history of the home and how it came to be. Our room and bed were cozy and the shower had great water pressure. I also enjoyed the record player with hundreds of records and all of the books, games, and super comfy chairs in the living room. I would certainly return just to have the breakfast again! Also Liza gave us umbrellas for the wedding we attended which saved us from standing in pouring rain for 45 minutes. Thank you Liza!!!! We got to meet 3 other lovely couples over breakfast and I would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay at The Tartan Fox. It's a beautiful space in a great location, and I'd be lying if I didn't say the website photos of the breakfasts weren't a huge selling point in my picking it. I was not disappointed! Breakfast was a relaxed, 3-course affair that I could tailor to my schedule by picking the time that worked best for me each day. I was treated to different scones each morning, and additionally a different tea service/china pattern (the detail of which I absolutely loved). Mike and Liza were very welcoming, and offered me some great recs for places to see and visit while I was in the area - including directions to a great local antique shop, Wilson's Pond for a dip after a hot day, Kimball Farm for the best fried clams I've ever had, and (since Liza saw me reading at every meal) a reminder to check out the bookstore in town.||The inn is very conveniently located to downtown Keene which has lots of great shops and restaurants, Wilson's Pond (a bonus in the summer, for sure), and great access to highways for daytrips to Vermont or other parts of NH. People around town seemed very friendly, including the random teenagers I stopped to ask where to get the best ice cream in town (Rick's, which had multiple options for rainbow sprinkles!). ||Would definitely plan another visit here!

The Inn is a charming place to stay in the beautiful Monadnock Region. Easy access to Keene's shops and restaurants. The innkeepers took care of our every need and were always sociable. The breakfast was amazing! Enjoyed the other guests, as well.

What a charming inn with delightful hosts! The place was way beyond my expectations, chock full of antiques and sci-fi paraphernalia. We stayed here for the eclipse but plan to return for the comfort (fireplace!) and lively conversations with our wonderful hosts. Oh, and don’t forget the freshly made 3-course breakfasts! I highly recommend the Tartan Fox!

Can honestly say this must be the best B&B in New Hampshire - and affordable! The building itself is rich in history and original architecture, while possessing all the upgrades to make it comfortable to the modern traveler (AC, TV, wifi, etc.). We had the best sleep we've had in a long while.
Mike & Liza are dedicated stewards of the property and truly care about their guests' comfort and enjoyment. Liza is very sweet and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Mike is a bona fide chef and treated us and the other guests to the most decadent homemade scones and eggs benedict with hollandaise made from scratch.
My only complaint is that our stay was too short! Already looking forward to our next visit.
