This place is amazing. There is wildlife, fresh air and amazing views. What else can you ask for?! At the end of our walk we were stuck behind some geese and their babies... it was so cool to watch them as a family!

One of the best nature education centers I've visited very well equipped kids play/educational room , and actual classroom a shop with local goods clean restrooms just all around a very welcoming place ,the decoration is great too.
The hiking loops are not the greatest or the longest but are great for wildlife spotting or a quick day hike there is little to no shade the paths are very easy and pretty straightforward mostly grass and a few gravel areas For parents an off-road stroller (air filled tyres/jogging style) can make it no issues just fyi

I look forward to our annual trip to the Horicon Marsh. Bird watching at its best in a beautiful environment. This year, for us, the star of the show was a pair of Whooping Cranes!

This is one of the largest cattails marshlands in the USA.
Excellent place for birding , 3 prominent trails are there which are worth trekking.
A good way to spend a day with some trekking and photography.
The visitor center is a nice place to grab some details about the place/habitants.

A great visit and amazing lower level addition, well worth the few bucks cost for such a great presentation of the ice age and impact to the marsh. Plus a great 2.3 mile hike around the inner channel.

Super helpful staff. Very knowledgeable on what birds and where they might be found. It was a cold day so we did walk much of the trails. We did do the three mile drive on the north end. I was able to get some pictures of the Sandhill Cranes. Lots of birds, hawks and an osprey. We saw several pair of cranes. I don't think we saw the whopping cranes today. It was be a fantastic place to walk, do birding and have a picnic late spring/summer.
