Well I have to say I'm getting very disappointed in Holiday Inn's all over. I stayed here last night and wish I didn't. As soon as I walked in the door it smelled horrible! It was filthy! I got the room because of the hot tub. But I didn't use it because the entire room was dirty I was worried about getting in it. I'm just praying the sheets were clean. They say it's under " renovation" but that has nothing to do with cleanliness. I've tried to add photos.

Overall it’s a typical Hotel. In a sense, just a place to sleep. When we arrived our room wasn’t quite ready so we drove around the town. After about 30 minutes, we arrived back and got checked in. Room was extremely warm when we got there. I tried to adjust the heat and realized the unit wasn’t even on. I was going to turn AC on but didn’t want it to freeze up so opened the window a bit to let the room cool down. Loved the fact that I could even open the window. The view wasn’t bad but would have like the opposite side we were on.

We did have a day that we went to our Time Share Presentation and when we got back to our room, our keys would not work. I went down to the front desk and she did something to them. Went back up to our room and they still didn’t work, so back down to front desk and she gave me two new cards. They ended up working fine. Not sure what happened!

Spent 3 nights there. Check-in was easy and friendly. The property is only about 10 years old so it shows well. My room was large and the bathroom very large. All was very clean. The shower had very good safety bars. The be was a king and the pillows were outstanding. The room was spacious and functionally worked very well. Even though there was a 24/7 gas station next door, the room was very quiet. One complaint. My room was at the end of the building and the Wi-Fi was sub normal. It took a long to to log in and and would not allow me to download even small apps.

I have stayed in this hotel many times because it is relative convenient location wise, and I have been IHG platinum member for years; till Feb.8th I have stayed in IHG more than 20 nights in this 2025 year already; previously other hotel staff handled it pretty well. However on Feb. 8th night stay, is a disaster. In my reservation I clearly stated (1) quite room (2) stay away elevation/ice machine (3) high floor.
I got a room 2nd level, close to elevation and ice machine, both are ok if the noise is manageable.

A) we could clearly hear the sound of someone talking/laughing till at lease 11:30pm which i could not sleep because of the noise and i remembered that is the last time i checked the time;
B) at 2:30am very loud and clear showing flushing noise from upstairs as if the pipe right beside you; if someone said it is simply because I am a light sleeper, then how it would wake up the whole family.
C) we had to leave at 6am so we had to be up very early. After the almost sleepless night I went to talk to general manager. One sorry, done; then when I continue talked a little about I had never experienced this before he said: i will deposit 1000 points. So I shut up. 1000 points is $5 purchase from IHG account and that is his way to think of a regular customer. I do not want to talk to him anymore and also has to leave. And the most funny thing is: I have never received the 1000 points, and I did not receive the regular 500 points as a platinum member check in either.

My family and I have stayed at this particular location 3 years in a row just before Christmas. The staff is exceptional, the breakfast quite tasty, and the property is spotless. The only issue we have ever had is that the pool was closed once for cleaning and maintenance. But the staff was quick to offer us a fantastic solution.

We spent 9 days here and will definitely stay here again. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, and best of all, the shower curtain didn’t smell musty. It was also nice to see the manager on site everyday overseeing everything. I want to also note that Miguel was very helpful finding a room that met our specifications when we checked in.

Our experience was only okay. Notice that the website does not have pictures of their bathrooms, which are very old. The shower did not have a tub, which is a problem for families with kids. Our toilet spit water out of the back tank, which we reported but was not fixed during our stay, nor were we offered a different room to move to. There was a low, consistent beep somewhere in the room. The rooms have no phone and not enough well-placed plugs (but the fridge and the curtains and the beds were good, which is a plus. Breakfast was well stocked!

The staff was very kind and informational about the area of Minden. We told them that we were going up for a presentation up at the Ridge property. They helped with attractions up there. There was a family that was displaced by a fire that was checking in just before us. The staff really went out of their way to help them and make them feel comfortable.
