They didn't even try! The hotel was undergoing renovations. I was not fully aware of this when I made the reservation. The put me on a floor that had no directional markings in the hallway after getting off of elevator. The floor was completely stripped of carpet and there were nails on the floor. I could have been hurt. The only light in the hallway was suspended light bulb hanging from a wire that was strung the length of the hallway. I had no idea which way to go. I had to go back downstairs and get assistance from housekeeping staff because there was no one at the front desk. I would have requested another floor! I brought this experience to the attention of the front desk and the front end manager and she literally dismissed the fact that i was disappointed because she failed to mention the condition of accommodations to me. I asked to speak to the GM and was told he was not available. I left him messages. I emailed him. No response. I called him for several days after my stay and was always told he wasn't available or in meetings somewhere. I think I'm more disappointed in him because a phone call or return of my email request may have gone a long way. The just didn't care! I have been staying at IHG for many years and occasionally you run up on a bad experience. This was horrible and I could have been injured. As I must come to the local military base nearby occasionally, and I use IHG, this Holiday Inn Express is the only one in that area, unfortunately.

I'm platinum elite, but no one should have to deal with this level of bad service.

This motel is super clean. Much of it is newly remodeled. The staff is beyond helpful, location is excellent, and two swimming pools. We stay here every time we can when working in central Nevada.

About the lights in the newly remodeled room - some are fine but some are 5000 Kelvin. These should be 3500 Kelvin or so. 5K is too bright. I had to leave the ones over the desk and between the beds off. Otherwise, the review would have been all 5 stars.

Outside of the hotel looks nice, friendly staff and good variety for breakfast. They are under construction so completely understand items will be stored everywhere. We stayed on the first floor and I am hoping that wasn't a remodeled room because the carpet was gross, bathroom was not any better and the beds were uncomfortable. Spacious rooms and quiet.

Had we been advised this hotel was under total renovation and had no carpets and was full of drywall dust we would have stayed elsewhere. The breakfast on the first day was almost empty at 730 am and the food was like rubber. Our first front desk encounter was excellent, she was funny and polite and helpful. The second night front desk was not polite, was rude to our children and a bit cold shouldered when walking in. Maybe after the renovations are completed it will be a nice place to stay but for now I won't be recommending it to anyone.

Overall the stay was ok with the exception of the beds, they were very hard, almost uncomfortable, compared to other IHG properties. I hope they were temporary because of the MAJOR renovations currently going on. Room value significantly decreased due to uncomfortable beds.

The room itself was recently renovated and very clean and nice.

I would recommend new beds that aren’t as hard and uncomfortable.

This was a delightful stay. I was there for two nights and my stay was undisturbed. The room was very large and had recently been renovated. The staff were polite, kind, and did their jobs well. The breakfast was simple but great. This Hotel has both and inside and an outside pool that are nice and large. I was recognized for my status with the Hotel and was treated accordingly.

Stayed here for the second time. This time we were in the updated part of the hotel, which was very nicely done. Only a couple minor issues, the shower door was not level so had a hard time keeping it closed. The switches and cover plates were almond color, which clashed with the updated grey tones of the room. Should have updated them to white. Other than that, bed was comfy, breakfast was decent. Good one night stay.

Great room. Clean room and bed was super comfy. Hubby was able to bring his service dog with no problem. Very quiet easy on and off freeway. Highly recommend
