Pecco and Gail are absolutely wonderful hosts! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The place is incredibly comfortable, warm, and impeccably clean. The location is perfect—just a short drive to Ragged Mountain, making it ideal for snowboarding enthusiasts.

The breakfast? Hands down, the best I’ve ever had! Tea is great too! Pecco and Gail’s hospitality and humor made the stay even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend staying here!

Gail & Pecco - owners of the Highland Lake Inn - took the most WONDERFUL care of all our out-of-town guests during the weekend of our wedding. Some of the people we put up there are among the most precious in our lives and knowing that they were being looked after, fed, made comfortable and introduced to each other in a cozy setting put both me and my husband at ease so that we could focus on our big day. To the person, every guest spoke about how beautiful the Inn was and how warm and welcoming their hosts were. Having our guests stay at the Highland Lake Inn was the Second Best Decision we made that weekend (marrying my gorgeous, brilliant, beautiful husband was the First!).

What a wonderful time my wife and I had. This was our first experience with a Bed & Breakfast, and we were not disappointed. Pecco and Gail were consummate hosts, and made many good recommendations for our dinner, while providing for us a simple but enjoyable breakfast. The lake access was easy to get to and the lake was beautiful. I would and have recommended the Highland Lake Inn to anyone who enjoys the quiet serenity of NH and its many picturesque towns. As a plus, My wife and I enjoy biking, and with easy access to the Northern Rail Trail, the Highland Lake Inn is going to become a yearly tradition for us!

Highland Lake Inn B&B has so many good qualities, it's hard to know where to start. Pecco and Gail were extremely warm and welcoming from the time we arrived to the time we left. The house and the grounds are beautiful. Each room, as well as the common areas, is unique and well appointed. My mattress and pillow were very comfortable. The first night, my window was ajar and I awoke to the sound of loons. I loved it! Everything about the place is peaceful and serene. Highland Lake itself is beautiful with a large sand beach. I didn't do any water sports on this trip, but if I return, I would love to kayak, hike, and ride bikes on the trail. We got a tour of the barn - it was being used for an event during our visit, so we could see it in full use. It's beautifully renovated. The breakfasts were delicious, Fruit, yogurt and Gail's homemade granola were complimented with Pecco's eggs, any way you wanted them. He is very artful in the kitchen, and as much thought goes into the presentation of breakfast, as in creating it. This guy knows what he's doing in the kitchen!

Highland Lake Inn is a lovely bed and breakfast inn, hosted by a very friendly, gracious, interesting couple. Gail and Pecco made us feel right at home, sharing stories of their lives (which I realize is part of their shtick, but that is what makes it special), cooking us delicious breakfasts, and taking special care of their guests when the occasion calls for it. we absolutely loved our stay at the Highland Lake Inn. it is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast with friendly hosts (Thanks Peccos and Gail 🙏❤️ Hopefully we will be staying with you again soon and i can go fly fishing near you place 😀)

I was in a bit of a rush and tried to take some videos of the B&B but my videos do not do this place justice. it was so much more than the videos could capture. next time i am back, i will spend some time to do a much better review

2024-10-15 another wonderful stay with Pecco and Gail. My 13 year old son LOVES this place ! Pecco and Gail are so easy to talk to and such wonderful people.
