Hidee gold mine was such a fun experience!! I went with some family on a visit from Texas and I would highly recommend!! Our tour guide Roy was so fun and incredibly informative- he was incredible with the kids, while also making sure everyone was having a good time. We learned a lot about mining, the history, and what was in the beautiful rock all around us. I 10/10 would recommend!

Me and my husband are on our honeymoon and decided to come here last minute and we are so glad we did! The tour was so much fun and panning for gold was the Cherry on top! We stayed there all day and enjoyed every minute of it! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly, and we highly recommend going here if you’re in Colorado!

If you want to go on a tour, make sure to call ahead. From what I read on website and reviews, you can just walk up and go on tour. However the day we went, they were short handed and was doing tours every two hours. We just did the Panning for gold activity. Very fun! Instructor was very educated about Panning, made it look so easy! He was friendly, helpful, and a little too "touchy feely" for me. There were some chipmunks that ran around eating peanuts. They were super cute!! Drive way down is a bit rough, slow going and read signs telling you where bumps are.

We arrived at this mine tour location and at first were unsure if we were at the right location - the road is a bit sketchy on the way in, but as long as there isn't ice on the road, any car can make it down. There are several older structures (some have collapsed) in the area that you can take a look at, while you wait for your tour to start. Our tour guide, Chris, was great. This was honestly one of the best mine tours we've ever done. We learned a bunch about mining and about this specific area. We'd absolutely recommend checking this mine tour out, if you're in the area.

My son and I came here yesterday and we had a great time! Our guide was Jim and he was super friendly and knowledgeable! We were fortunate enough to just be the two of us on our tour and Jim went above and beyond to make the tour and panning a blast! My son and I learned a lot and had a great time! Thanks again Jim!

I bought 2 tickets online for the tour and gold panning class. This was an important trip because this is on my mother’s bucket list. She is disabled and so I made sure to check online if they were wheelchair accessible. Their site didn’t have a lot of information, but on Google it claimed to be fully wheelchair accessible with ramps and smooth pathways.
We had trouble on the highway due to construction and the team was beautifully accommodating. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone let us rebook to the next tour same day. When we arrived I realized that the mine was in NO way wheelchair accessible. The driveway is also incredibly steep. There are rocks in the driveway, minimal ramps, and mud inside the mine. You need an off roading wheelchair with thick large tires to make it across the parking lot or inside the mine. If we made it in the mine, we could only have access to the first floor.
I was so worried we had wasted our time, but our tour guide Roy (also the owner I think) said “I won’t let anyone leave here without something shiny” ✨ ?
He did a little arranging, and found a small buggy to drive my mom into the mine. He took us on a private tour of the first floor of the mine and taught us gold panning himself.
We received a unique experience to cross off my mother’s bucket list, rock samples from inside the mine, and baggies from our panning experience. At the end we left happy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had the best time! We went to the mountains to escape the heat and found this hidden gem. The staff are soooo nice. Cave tour is super interesting and we loved, loved, loved panning for gold. Our family panned for 3 hours. Can’t say enough about how nice everyone who works there is, especially to the little ones. We range in age from 3 - 77, and there was fun for everyone.
