I had an amazing time on my balloon ride this September! It was such a peaceful feeling floating over Fraser, and let me see the valley from a whole new perspective. There are great views of the town of Fraser, Winter Park Resort, the Fraser River and mountain ranges. Sunrise was a great time to go, and Captain Jack told us about the history of the area. I've lived in Grand County for years and I learned lots that I never knew before about this area!

Spent a FANTASTIC morning with Jack and Sue hot air ballooning over Colorado!! Took my 2 kids (10 and 12 yrs old), my sister, and mother. Everyone loved it! Jack gave us tons of history and information about the area. Sue set up a lovely picnic at the end with champagne, coffee, and breakfast snacks. The balloon basket was very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend this for anyone!

For years we have seen their balloons fly the Fraser valley. Today, to celebrate our anniversary, we got to ride the balloon. We felt so safe with Captain Jack and appreciated everything he and Sue did to make this such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

#1USAToday A MUST do adventure while visiting Colorado! Everything was so smooth from easy online booking on to Captain Jacks incredibly smooth landing. His tour and expertise of flying made this a memorable adventure!
The mornings are the best part of the day in Colorado. It is worth getting up to see sunrise over the Continental Divide and getting above it all was breath-taking! We viewed peaks into Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Winter Park Fraser Valley is absolutely picturesque! Captain Jack took us to treetop level where we saw a moose, snowshoe hare, coyotes, antelope! We learned so much about the area the history itself, names of peaks, and Mans 1st Form of Flight. It was amazing adventure I would recommend it for the whole family. We are returning in the Fall and bringing our kids and grandkids. Can’t wait to see the Fall colors after this beautiful Springtime flight! The wildflowers are in full bloom in June as you see in the picture.
Flights are weather permitting, so try for your 1st morning allowing others for backup.

The experience was awesome! Riding in a hot air balloon had been on my bucket list and doing it with Grand Adventures exceeded my expectations! It was a perfect day in September so views were great and Captain Jack was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Sue was very energetic for our brisk, early ride! And she had the cutest little set up once we got back to our vehicle location, and gave the group other ideas of places to go and things to do.
When they say dress with layers, definitely do so, because I underestimated the cold, but it does warm up !

This was the first balloon flight for me but it won’t be the last! What an amazing experience! Along with the glorious views and the enchantment of floating in the air, Captain Jack and Sue were so knowledgeable on local history and lore, the mountains and the science of non-motorized flight. From just a few feet to over 1100 feet above ground, the entire experience was the adventure of a lifetime. If you ever have the opportunity to book a flight and meet these two delightful individuals, do it! You won’t regret it!

We throughly enjoyed our hot air balloon ride! We got to see pronghorn antelope as well as coyotes. There was allot more history than I was expecting which was a welcomed surprise.

The take off and landing were also supper smooth. You actually feel very warm once you get up into the air.

It is worth waking up at 3am to make the drive out there, if you are on the fence about it.

My only complaint is we were crammed into the basket a bit like sardines making it supper hard to turn to see in different directions. (Don’t go as a first date or anything) you will be smashed into your companion the whole time.

Disability notes:
If you are not agile, not good at walking on uneven surfaces, or not comfortable standing for an hour this is not for you. You will climb into the basket, may land in a bumpy field to walk on and will stand the whole time (no chairs).

If you are blind: I’m not sure how much you would get out of this. The balloon is so gentle you probably won’t feel much. But you would feel the heat from the fire above and the wind. As well as enjoy listening to some history.

If you are deaf: I would assume this would still be an awesome adventure for you.
