Wonderful room. Clean and welcoming. Jacuzzi tub was what you would expect in a hotel room. Great water pressure and hot. We loved the location- so close to everything. I would stay here again and recommend to others. It was quiet and we liked having our own entrance.

I wouldn’t even give this place one star but I have too. The only thing I give 5 stars to is the location cause we love North Conway.
We just arrived here around 9:30pm they left our keys for us tapped to the front office door since we arrived after the lobby closed. We got to our room and the beds were used, trash was full and ash all in the sink and it smelt like smoke. The room was never cleaned. (Picture attached)
We tried calling the emergency number for the hotel and it wouldn’t work kept saying the voicemail box isn’t set up. Called multiple times and nothing. After paying over 500 dollars for this stay we had to pay even more money to stay somewhere else for the night due to the rooms state. This is the first time I have stayed here and we will not be staying in the future.

First I have to say that I was worried about the reviews, but I do not agree with the many negative reviews.

it is a basic hotel, as expected, but it's overall a good one.
Rooms are spacious and clean, excellent location close to the main road. There are laundry and coffee services

There are a few cons- The bed was a little high, no daily room service, and no water machine for refill.
Overall, I would stay here again 🙂

We were late arriving at the hotel (10pm) so the key was in an envelope left attached to reception door for us, also giving directions to where our room was. Room was spacious and clean and had a balcony which was an added bonus, the bed was comfortable. There was no tea and coffee making facilities and no water in the room, but the letter said there was vending machines on the ground floor, unfortunately in our block the machine was out of order, so we walked to another block and all there was in there's was 2 bottles of water, put our $2 in and entered the number, nothing came out - tried again, didn't work... so we tried to get our money back and the machine didn't have enough change!! As we had flown in from Salt Lake to Boston and had had a long drive from the airport, we decided to just go to bed as we were shattered. Tea and coffee was available in reception the following morning. Due to being short staffed there was no room service or cleaning, but we only stayed 2 nights so that wasn't an issue. Location was good, walking distance to restaurants and a bar or two. It would have been nice to have been pre warned about the lack of facilities in the hotel prior to our arrival. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

This was a good stay for a motel, we requested a room at the back to avoid the noise, and it was fairly quiet.|The pros of the room were that it was a decent sized, not a cubbyhole, and the bathroom was also a good size too.|Unlike many other hotels the shower was good and the water stayed hot no matter how long one was in the shower.|Bed was quite comfortable too, but the biggest disadvantage is no cleaning and housekeeping. |That is ok for a one or 2 night stay but we stayed for 5 nights, and not to have sheets changed, towels changed or garbage removed for that long is quite stupid and unacceptable.|NO coffee machine, have to get coffee from front desk. No one manning the reception 24 hours either.|Here, in season the demand exceeds the supply therefore the motels can be this way.|the other options are more expensive and the cheaper options lower in standard.|so bottomline is no choice.

I had stayed here several times, rooms are clean, comfy, front desk always friendly. Before the pandemic they used to clean the rooms every day. After everything change in the world right? Now they don't clean every day, not a big thing (maybe for the parents with small kids) understandable. Prices are reasonable. The reason of my review is because I stay this past weekend here, and for the first time I was place in the second floor. I notice some things that I think administration should pay attention, it need a good power wash, and a fresh coat of paint. The back of the second floor looks terrible. the front porch, I couldn't enjoy it, because there were spider and spiders wed everywhere and the chairs were dirty and old. Respectfully.

I have travelled quite a bit and stayed in many hotels. The Golden Gables was one of the best places. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. We had a connecting room and the layout of both rooms was excellent. The beds were comfortable, and despite being close to many activities, it was quiet. Check in was easy and the front desk staff was efficient and friendly. The grounds were well kept and the swimming pool was nice.

The service was good and this is our second time staying here. Unfortunately our fire place was broken before we got there, but we were offered a refund for the difference and offered an upgrade. So we are pleased with our stay.
