The staff at this facility is very sweet and caring. You can truly see and feel that they care about their patients. From nurses to cnas from receptionist to housekeeping and therapist to kitchen help and maintenance everyone steps up and really makes this home for the ones that are here. It's clean and enjoyable with outings and activities.

My experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely helpful, my bed was spartan but comfortable. The eggs were always cold, but the OT and PT staff was top notch. It's hard for a place like this to get a high rating; there are long-term patients there, and it is a sad thing to see. That's life I'm afraid.

My mother was placed here after a fall, she's always been a fall risk so our family has had many different experiences at different facilities this is by far the worst! My mother has an ostomy bag that after 2 weeks nobody could figure out how to keep it on her body and they left her sitting in urine day after day after day. I visited my mother every day and every day was the same she was soaking wet in urine and developed a horrific rash that actually peeled her skin. She said nobody ever answered when she rang the bell as you read other reviews you will find they say the same thing the patients ring the bell and they are ignored. I don't care if they are short-handed that I can understand ignorance and being inept, I cannot. I spoke to administration about it I was usually arguing with someone daily nothing ever changed! Shame on them I would like to see how they liked it if their mom or dad were in there!

My wife was admitted to the dementia care unit at Milford Center just after Thanksgiving 2016 and is still there Christmas 2017. In that time my family and I feel the Supervisor and the staff are really outstanding. They know the special personalities of the 28 patients there and adapt the care to their needs.

Dementia care takes a special kind of talent to successfully manage the nursing needs. Often the patient cannot verbalize the problems they are having. Patience with the repetitive behaviors demands a love and understanding that is unlike normal nursing care. The Director "D" is able to select out staff that can't work well in this environment. The Director will work all shifts and days to assure a consistent level of patient care.

I am not sure that top management realizes what they have in this unit - it seems the new Center Director has little regard for supporting the dementia care unit. I have seen the previous director all over the facility - he was approachable and visible. The new Center Director has been there for months. I have never seen her and she has not reached out to me even after I responded to her letter. She has raised the fees and seems more concerned about dollars than patient care.

I visited a very close friend yesterday at Genesis yesterday and when I first entered the facility I was impressed with the clean and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, that changed quickly as I entered my friend's room.

She had a stroke and cannot move the right side of her body. We found her lying flat on her bed, on soiled sheets, and she looked very disheveled. She informed us that she had not had a bath in the 2 weeks she had been there. Additionally, she had a severe rash in her private area because her diapers were not changed regularly. Her husband explains that he has complained numerous times, yet nothing is done.

I personally witnessed them deliver her dinner and they just set it down and was going to walk away, leaving her to feed herself. Obviously it is difficult to eat with just one arm, so I asked if someone was going to help her and the nurse simply stated, "yeah I guess I can." They gave her a full chicken-breast, I have yet to figure out how they expected her to cut it. Additionally, they do not help her out of the bed so she can sit in a chair; she simply lays in this bed and must figure out how to fend for herself.

I am so saddened by the way this lady has been treated. I just do not understand how someone can treat another human being that way. She has already lost her dignity and they treat her as a burden, despite the fact they are paying handsomely for her care. I was brought up to respect my elders, and the way she and her family are being treated is astonishing. I can only hope and pray that karma takes care of those who are participating in her deplorable care.

In August mom became very ill. It was advised by her doctor to enter into a nursing home. My husband and I, along with mom disussed the situation. We were all on board. But there was a waiting list issue due to pandemic. One of the staff explained to us what we could do to help get her in. She was getting worse. About a month later mom was in the place we had all choose. I can not express how much help they were and still are today. My mom is so happy there and has adjusted somewhat quickly. She is able to socialize again, do crafts again, but biggest thing of all she is safe. She is well taken care of and loved by the staff. Genesis Healthcare has given my mom her life back, and was there to support me evey step of the way. When times came to be to much for me they were there, excepting every phone call, answering emails and returning phone calls. Everything in a timely fashion!!!! I would recommend this Facility to anyone I know. Everyones experience is different and I respect that, but our familys experience was wonderful!!!!!!

The soda machine charges you doubles, triple, some times quadruple when you only swipe your card for one purchase. Also, after one swipe no drinks vend from the machine so your left with four separate transactions on your bank account for 1.50 each fpr a product you never recieved. I'm sure they get away with this a lot as many people are elderly and due not check their bank statements frequently.

We called several times to the vending services but no response. And not a call back from them.

Extremely upset with how they are handling an employee who has been harassing my daughter via Facebook. The 25yr old has been messaging my child about “pulling up” to my property to fight my child as well as throwing her miscarriage in her face. To continue to employ Rachel Dixon (dietary aide) is a slap in the face to the community who is the reason this center is open. I would never suggest anyone to utilize their services.
