We planned a group trip after a visit to Milwaukee and Kurt and Forward Outdoor couldn't have been better. We had a tight schedule with some logistical challenges and Kurt and team were patient and accommodating. They gave us clear expectations, arrived and departed on time and provided clean, well-maintained equipment that made for an enjoyable experience on the Milwaukee River. What stood out to me was Kurt's attention to detail and his clear desire to go above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Would definitely recommend Forward Outdoor for outdoor excursions around Milwaukee and will definitely use again when I visit Milwaukee!

We had an amazing experience with the shuttle kayak today! Kurt drove us 5 miles up river in his van, got us set up in our kayaks, then set us afloat in the Milwaukee River. It was so delightful just cruising down the peaceful, scenic river without having to paddle much at all. We spotted some cool birds, traversed some mild rapids, and had a blast! When we arrived back to Ehler Park, Kurt was there to pull us out of the water and hand us cool towels to wipe down. It was so well executed from start to finish! We can’t wait to have another experience with Forward Outdoor!

My family and I had had a wonderful experience kayaking on the Milwaukee River with Forward Outdoor. Kurt was prompt, courteous and professional. Everything went seamlessly, and we had the best day. All the planning and logistics were done for us, we were provided drinks and snacks and even a refreshing towel at the end of our kayaking! Perfect way to spend a Saturday morning seeing bald eagles, blue herons and spending quality time with family. We can’t wait to do it again.

Attended paddle and picnic- Worth. Every. Penny. Such an incredible and well thought out experience. Every piece well thought out and planned. Details matter! Transportation to/from launch site. Bug spray, sunscreen, water, dry bag, waterproof cell phone case... Guide took pictures of us and emailed. Help in/out of water. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Cool moist lavender washcloths offered to freshen up after kayaking. Picnic featured table cloth with clips. Several drink options. Delicious sandwich/wraps (given a choice ahead of time) and fresh baked cookies from local bakery, chips and fresh fruit. Since it was my birthday went above and beyond with a slice of cheesecake with candle and singing happy birthday. Definitely plan on attending future excursions with them.

Booked the paddle and paint with Forward Outdoor in Milwaukee. My sister and I had a great time meeting the group and paddling. The painting portion was awesome too. We had an artist teach us some watercolor techniques and then we had time to create. I did a paddle on the Milwaukee River with Forward Outdoor. A few things stand out. 1. the company really is all in on sustainability which is important. 2. the gear is really nice - top quality PFDs make a big difference in comfort. Boats we prefect for the trip. 3. Kurt (co-owner with Ms. Kurt) is just a cool dude. I would absolutely do this trip again if I get back to the area. Highly recommend.
