Our first experience as we walked in the lobby was a warm greeting from Darryl who was working the front desk. He gave us a list of some nearby restaurants and directions to the parking garage which was only a short walk about 3 blocks. We chose Comfort Inn Downtown DC for the price and the location. Room was older but was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were able to walk or ride scooters to everything that we wanted to visit. We also took the Metro once. The breakfast staff was very nice. It's always a plus to have a complimentary breakfast to start the day. Darryl was there again when we checked out. You've got a great employee in him. He goes above and beyond to make your guests feel welcome.

Perfect location. Yes it is dated but clean. The staff at the front desk was great. Watch those steps coming in, I missed the small step... and also know... there are steps... like 6-8 to get up to the lobby. It worked perfectly for me and the price was right

I enjoyed my stay at the comfort inn thoroughly and met Sara at the front desk who was so full of energy and so welcoming. I came to visit my son in DC who attends Howard University- which was very convenient since there is a metro very close by. I advise coming to this place.

Old hotel. Furniture and carpet has not been change since the building was changed from an apartment to a hotel. The bathroom is extremely small and outdated. No room for toiletries. They charged $270 per night when the hotel rate is normally $92 which matches the old out of date rooms. We couldn't enjoy watching the TV since the hotel has dish. The hotel could get cable to compensate for the other inconveniences

Went over to Comfort in with my wife and was greeted with the kindest receptionist, Sarah, today who really looked out for us and made sure all our tourist questions were answered. So kind and high spirited; really made our needs felt heard. But there are a couple of things that I did not like: the roomโ€™s interior decor is very subpar and outdated, the entrance does not have a ramp so be sure of that if you have heavy luggage. But other than that it was an amazing experience in DC and the staff is all so kind and friendly.

5 stars overall for the quality of service. What this place lacks in amenities, it more than makes up for in the charm and personal touch from the staff. Especially Abby who supervises the morning breakfast room. She remembered me and my dietary restrictions multiple days in a row and immediately offered to make me some chicken sausage patties as I canโ€™t eat pork. Sheโ€™s such a sweet lady, speaks fondly of her children and her pride in them, and works so hard to make sure everyone has a good experience. Give this woman a raise!

Awesome location and amazing staff! I was able to check in slightly early (around 2:30pm on Wednesday, September 4th) and the staff were exceptional! I was welcomed into the building by a kind person cleaning up the lobby. They also led me to a restroom while I waited to check in and made my big-city anxiety melt away immediately.

The young woman checking me into my room was extremely thorough, answered all of my questions, and gave me printed copies (with photos!) of the discounted parking garage for me to use. She also gave me a very helpful guide for all of the hotel's amenities. I wish I caught both of their names because I was treated so kindly and welcomed with so much warmth.

The rooms are small, but the location is absolutely amazing for the super affordable prices! You're right in the heart of DC and within (at most) 45 minutes of walking to any major tourist location. Perfect for a solo traveller like myself taking advantage of the location and affordability. I can't recommend this location enough. Just be mindful of your luggage. I wouldn't recommend much more than a backpack or small suitcase to make your way to the hotel.

I can't thank the staff enough for their knowledge and kindness! It was a treat to stay here.

Loved this place! Short walk to everything, cute neighborhood, CHEAP PARKING! The night shift front desk guy (Darryl) was awesome, you ask a question, he's not just answering it, he's giving you directions, maps, menus, everything! We would have missed a lot without him. Can't wait for our next trip!
