Fire, was one of the best experiences I had in DC. Just get on the boat with 3 of ur friends (only two can pedal at a given time), and take turns pedaling across the water. We talked to other people on boats and also pedaled along the jefferson memorial while singing together. Just remember to bring sunglasses and put on sunscreen because the sun does get crazy.

Good for a unique experience of DC, would probably be beautiful during cherry blossom season in the spring!
Can get a little tiring with pedaling, but other then that it was great to see the Jefferson and Washington Monument and also watch the plane take off!

The process was simple. The staff was pleasant, the boats were clean, and the breeze off of the water was refreshing. This was a very "touristy" thing to do but we enjoyed it. We got to see the navy helicopter and the presidential Marine One helicopter fly over us. We saw a few fish jump. Overall, it was a pleasant thing to do for an hour.

Have been to DC many times before, but never tried this and decided to do so when showing a friend around. It was a cute way to view the Jefferson and Washington Monuments while leisurely moving along the surface of the Potomac.

I'd say it's reasonably priced for weekdays and weekends and you get 30% off on Thursdays.

We had so much fun when we here! The prices are about $30 for an hour, but the website didn't explain that there was a weight limit so when me and my friends tried to get into one the boat sank so my boyfriend and I were given a second one for free! They didn't mention on the website that there was a weight limit of ~400lbs (i think).

It's a great way to see the monuments and relax on the water!

Beautiful tidal basin location, boats are older but in good condition. Make sure you're ready for a workout if you want to go across the basin especially if you'll have non pedaling riders. Easy to make a reservation online and pay.
