Stayed at the new Cobblestone in Denmark Wisconsin! Paid with hotels.com and gave them my cc for incidentals and $25 pet fee! Woke up today 2 days later and I had an additional $98 charge! Called the front desk to ask why and she said I can't help you! So I paid $350 for a mediocre hotel

Location-2 stars (turn into hotel parking lot was tricky at night, hard to see, slowing down to turn left when you cannot see due to no street lights is an accident waiting to happen).
Friendliness of staff 4-checking in was treated with a friendly staff member. Next morning when we went to check out about 10am, front desk lights were out, no one was around.
Cleanliness upon checking in-0. Had to switch rooms, first room had a smell to it, probably due to the fact there was no tank lid on the bathroom toilet. Next room we were given we found hair in the tub, some sort of gooey substance on shower head, and no iron in room. When I called the front desk for an iron, they informed me they did not have one at their desk. Now mind you, we had reservations in advance and the room cost me $270!
Hot breakfast-N/A We did not attend
Based on our experience we will not be recommending family or friends to stay at the Pulaski WI Cobblestone.
Overall experience-0

There was a situation out of my control and was towed to one of the locations in -7', so the situation was not desirable to begin with but the worker was awesome and let us warm up since we lived 3 hours away and wait on a ride home, we sat out in car for 3 hours waiting for tow truck (with no heat) but then had escalated after calling corporate office to make them aware (The State trooper told my tow truck driver where to go so we could warm up) of what was happening and going to happen with my car and was told it should not have been there in the first place (corporate office)..The manager was so ignorant to my special needs son, yes he picked up a banana and yes I would have paid for it but not after she was yelling at him to put it back"He was not a guest"!!! He didn't really know what the problem was all's he knew was his belly wanted that banana. How can a corporation run like this if you treat people like the one in Paxton Illinois does! And did! I really hope Riley Wogernese reads comments and problems with hotels that he has stepped up to take on his father's position.

Gering, Nebraska.....We were unable to check in on time because they didn’t have any rooms ready. When we did check in the rooms were not what we had reserved and they were dirty. We asked twice for more towels and never got them. During our stay an employee had a party in the conference room with 30+ people and the children were running up and down the hallways touching, pulling on doors and no one was watching them. This was concerning due to Covid. During the employee party there also were about 20 kids from the party in the pool so no guests could use the pool. We ultimately checked out a day early and when we asked for a extra hour to check out were very rudely told no. Staff was unfriendly the entire time. We have stayed at this hotel many times before and it was opposite of our experience this time. We will be finding a new hotel to stay in now when we visit family. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

On the night of June 2, 2018 our family broke down on I-80 on our way from Colorado to Michigan. We are a large family traveling with a dog and thought we would be stranded in the middle of “nowhere” Iowa sleeping in our truck. We called Cobblestone Inn & Suites Avoca praying they had a room AND allowed pets. Brittany answered our call and was so helpful, reassuring and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed. She was, no doubt, the shining light we needed in the middle of the night!

Over the course of our stay, Brittany, Dayton and the rest of the Cobblestone staff went out of their way with true small town hospitality. We have never felt so welcome and cared for at a hotel! Without a vehicle, we had limited access to much other than the truck stop next door. Staff offered to let us borrow their personal vehicles, take us to town and were always asking how we were and if we were able to find a place to fix our truck. Your free hot breakfast was the highlight of each day and an amenity (along with being pet friendly) that made our limited mobility more manageable. The food was good, the staff was AMAZING and the hotel was one of the cleanest we’ve stayed at, especially for the price and remote location.

The altruism of the staff can be summed up in the following example (which was again just one of many). One evening, after asking if there were any places that delivered pizza and sadly being told “no”, Dayton surprised us by taking his own personal time after his shift to bring us pizza from a few towns up the road AND, much to our surprise, when we went to the front desk to pick it up, Brittany had paid for our dinner! We cannot express in words just how amazing these two young individuals are and how much their kindness means to us. This was the most humbling, kind hearted, amazing, thoughtful, compassionate, and generous stay we have ever experienced at a hotel. We truly feel as if we have new family now in Iowa!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Checked in last night at Wayne Nebraska, swing and overnight front desk were very helpful and courteous, the day shift worker however, needs a refresher course in customer service, stood at the desk, right in front of her for over 2 mins, she never once looked up from her computer screen, then when I asked her for coffee, she tells me, it’s right out there, when I informed her it was empty, she sighed very loudly , rolled her eyes and brought out another pot. Horrible experience to start my day.

Yes it is cold out. Cannot be in the room without shoes on as the heat/ac unit leaks in cold air so bad. Ice is on the whole bottom edge of the unit. Now 3 day of our stay and no hot water. She cordially stated 1 room not a issue, but now that we called she’s gonna call maintenance. Oh. Don’t worry about the breakfast. What’s out is what’s out. If it’s gone by 8 am. Tough! It’s over. Never seen or heard anyone from the front desk for 1/2 hr. Just for her to walk by and shut the door at 9am on the dot. No maid service or anything apparently on Saturdays.

My visa was triple charged on my stay there for 7 hours in Devils Lake ND. My bank alerted me in my app of the holds for both times these people ran my business visa. Trying to clear this up is a nightmare. The front desk guy there refused to call his managers and offered no help citing “this is your banks doing” when clearly my bank app says otherwise. I’m also helping this issue ams
Getting a hold of corporate as no one at this hotel is attempting to make an effort to refund the $200 in overages they ran. Severely upset right now.

For those about to stay here, pay in cash! Giving them your visa will bring your big problems.
