We were fortunate to secure a parking space almost directly in front of the Brass Pig. With a craving for BBQ, we decided to give the Brass Pig a try, and we are pleased that we did. Our seating was prompt, drinks arrived quickly, and we placed our order without delay after making our selections. We shared the nachos and a chicken sandwich, but only managed to finish the fries and most of the nachos. The food was exceptional, and we certainly intend to return. The prices were very reasonable too. Although this restaurant was not initially on our list, it deserves a spot on yours if you find yourself in Bloomington. #route66

One of the best BBQ joints in Bloomington. The smoked Reuben was fantastic and the wife had the notorious P.I.G which was tasty as well. The service was prompt and attentive even though it was the lunch rush. Will definitely be coming back

Popped in for dinner before a concert. The place is pretty cool inside, rustic, and open. I ordered a cocktail, but it tasted "dirty." They said they had recently changed their water and remade it with bottled water, which was much better. When our dinner came, it was delicious, but the portions were really small. Loved the house made fries, though.

This used to be one of my favorite places in town, but it's starting to slip. We visited for dinner last night and were told that it would be a 45 min wait. We decided to stick it out and wait. Once seated, about 35 minutes later, we were promptly informed by our waiter that food would be at least 1 HOUR if not an hour and a half. That should have been communicated from the very beginning not after we were already 30-some minutes in with our kids. Food took exactly one hour, we had one round of drinks and never saw our waiter again. Pulled pork and brisket were both very fatty and fries were cold. Wings were small and had very little meat. I don't think I'll recommend this place anymore, there are better, more honest places to go in town for the price.

We have a hard time finding a place that will accommodate our allergies. The waitress was beyond helpful, and did not act like we were a burden. She was very friendly with our children and had a smile on her face the entire time. The food was delicious! We will be back again!

Got sat down fast but waited FOREVER for our food. I ordered the notorious P.I.G and it was absolutely awful. There was barely any sauce on it and the meat wasn’t seasoned. The meat was mushy and had the consistency of my toddler chewing it up and spitting it out. I couldn’t finish it because of how awful it was. Fries were good though. Waiter didn’t care to check on us. Water tasted like it was from a hose in the back. My husband ordered the brisket and it was as tough as can be. The atmosphere was nice, but We definitely won’t be back.

Very unassuming exterior, we almost drove right by it. Not lit very well and we got there at 7:30pm. Free parking was available but you have to pay attention to the signs. Interior matched the outside. Hostess was nice and friendly. Place was mostly empty (except at the bar) so we got seated right away. Waitress was very friendly as well. Simple food menu that was clearly laid out but I felt lacked selection. The beer selection was more ample (they're on the Untappd app). I order a stout which came in a can and no glass. Wife ordered a Mule which was lacking. Table was unsteady but clean, and utensils had fair amounts of soap residue on them which was disappointing. The men's bathroom was in desperate need of cleaning and hand soap. I ordered a half rack of ribs and wife ordered the Cuban which took 23 minutes to get. In the meantime, a server stopped by twice to give us someone else's food. Not sure if they were new or if they're in need of a table numbering system. But get this: The food arrived and it was was BANGIN'! Totally threw us off. We did not expect that quality of cooking to come from a place like that. Portions were good and the meat was well done. Sides were average in my opinion, but the meal absolutely saved the experience, even when they tried to give to someone else, lol. No wetnaps, only paper napkins. Meal with drinks was $47. We'll consider this place again if we're nearby.

Disappointed. 2-meat platter with brisket and pulled pork, with collard greens and baked beans for sides. Collard greens incredibly tender but very salty. Baked beans decent but way too much onion. Brisket super tender BUT - not exaggerating - at least 75% fat, not meat. After removing the largest areas of fat from both meats, I had slightly more than a 1-meat platter. Not a meal I want to repeat.
