Our Alaska vacation was absolutely perfect - well, except for the rain the first few days but we planned for it and enjoyed exploring even with the sprinkles. Betsy at Alaska Tours set everything up for us: transportation to and from Katmai National Park, the train to and from Denali National Park and hotel while there as well as the Tundra Bus Tour. Every little detail was right on the mark and everything went so smoothly. A huge thank you to Alaska Tours!! We will definitely be contacting you again for our next adventure to the beautiful state of Alaska - can't wait to get back!!

Perfect trip for us because a cruise has 0 appeal to me. Alaska Tours arranged all the hotels, car rental, and a couple of big tours. Using their suggestions, we had plenty of time to rent e-bikes and ride the trail in anchorage, ride horses in a valley surrounded by snow capped mountains, and stop along every route taking our time and soaking up the vast amounts of gorgeous Alaskan scenery. Thanks, it was a blast. When friends ask what the best part was, my answer is that every day was spectacular until we got on the return plane with all the “cruise ship crowd “ that were worn out, coughing and sneezing and generally not looking too good.

It was a trip of a lifetime!
We took the Rail & Car, 8 day tour in the first week of June, 2024. The weather was nice and warmer than we expected. Because it was the beginning of the season, some places were still closed, and our kayak activity was cancelled since the lake was still frozen. However, for the same reason, we avoided the crowd. There was no line or wait at restaurants or other places we visited. Initially, we were concerned about a long drive from Fairbanks to Valdez and Valdez to Anchorage. However, it was just like driving in a national park. The view was spectacular throughout the drive and most of the time, there was no one else on the road. Also, by making a stop here and there, the drive was not that bad.
Kimberly answered any questions we had prior to the trip in very timely manner. Once we got there, everything was very efficient and went smoothly. The detailed itinerary and vouchers helped us a lot. I highly recommend Alaska Tours.

We spent 14 days in Alaska on a custom tour arranged by Alaska tours. This trip was originally planned for 2020 and got COVID cancelled, then rebooked and cancelled again due to a death in the family and finally rebooked with a few tweaks for 2024. Throughout that whole process, I found Alaska Tours to be wonderful to work with. We visited 6 of Alaska’s National Parks on this tour. We flew into 5 of the parks and took the train to and from the 6th. We had a rental car for a few days as well. To say that there were a lot of arrangements to be made for all of this to happen is an understatement. Everything came off perfectly. The materials provided by Alaska Tours were excellent and provided the information for us to be where we were supposed to be when we were supposed to be there. If you want a tour in Alaska, I would highly recommend this company.
