Make sure you stop at the Dog Center on your way up the Parks Hwy! This project and place are something special with a pooch palace attached to the cafe. Loved meeting Carrie and Kale and hearing about their vision. They are on a mission to educate the public about the amazing dogs in their care. All the best and I hope to be back in a couple years to witness your plans come to fruition. ?

We stayed at the vacation rental and every aspect of the stay was wonderful. The owners were thoughtful and helpful. The bed was so comfortable it was almost hard to convince myself to get out of bed. They love their dogs and it’s a dog friendly rental. I’m so happy we stopped here it made our trip home just that much better.

We stayed at the Airbnb on the Dog Center property, and loved every minute! The house was clean and cozy, and the Trailside Cafe went above and beyond to prepare food and leave it in the fridge for us when we arrived after closing time. Thank you so much to Carrie and Kale for such an amazing place to stay!

Coming “home” to this lovely place was a little piece of heaven. Carrie and Bella were wonderful hosts, serving up very unique food for lunch. I suggest the Jalapeño Popper sandwich. E were hoping to meet Kale but he was in Fairbanks fighting fires. It was so hard to leave such a great place.

They've added a drive through food area. They have interesting food. It's good. We had deviled eggs and nachos along with a blueberry smooth. The had a covered picnic area with a fire going. They also had a little fenced area for dogs. I'm not sure if it was for customers dogs or theirs but since there were no dogs present we put them in. They had a little loft where they could watch the cook. It was good for them to stretch their legs after a long drive from Cantwell we could watch them while we ate.

We stayed at the Trailside AIRBNB and enjoyed our experience very much. Kale was an excellent host and made sure our time there was perfect. The home was clean and well kept. We loved seeing all the pictures of the sled dogs inside the home. The surrounding landscape was beautiful. If we ever return to Alaska we would definitely try and book another stay here. Thank you for everything.
