La bicicleta de carretera que tuve era como montar en un aceite de motor. El personal fue increíble, amable y muy simpático. Sin duda lo recomendaría.">

One of the best rental experiences I’ve ever had. The bikes at first glance look a bit old but they are really well maintained. The road bike I had was riding like a butter. The staff was amazing, helpful and overall very nice. Definitely recommend this store.

Excellent service. Equipment is top notch. Great Adventures. The bicycle rides are my favorite. Elvin and his team are outstanding. Here's a night view pic of the shop. Photography Credit: Jesse DePriest

Great experience renting city bikes here and exploring Richmond. We rented for half a day (6 hours) which was surprisingly affordable. Thanks to the bike lock we were able to explore the city's different sights worry free. Check in and check out process was super fast and friendly too.

**Strongly advise not renting bikes from here**
Not sure where all these 5 star reviews are coming from!

My company reserved 4 bikes, when we showed up for our appointment (5:00 - 5:30), the employee ended up being 40 minutes late (5:40). We tried to call them but no one answered and their voicemail is protected/broken (it asks you to reenter the phone number, but still doesn't let you leave a message)

When they showed up, they offered "premium bikes" for a mark up. Since the regular bikes were obviously poor quality (old and cheap brands) and poorly maintained we decided to trade two up for "premium bikes" The first one they handed me was a Trek, and the front suspension was rough and the stem was misaligned, so I asked for another one. The brought out a specialized and I asked if they could put my clip-less pedals on, which they did.

The way they checked the tire pressure was by squeezing the tire, apparently they didn't "feel" that any of them were worth adding pressure to so we had to find a pump and pump them up later. The rental helmets are nothing more than show, most of them don't have any padding, and the ones that do, well they mine as well not because the padding is worn out. They do offer to shoot the helmet with some bug spray before you leave though, you know in case someone had lice or spiders have been crawling in them while in storage.

I road my "Premium bike" for less than a mile before the threads stripped out of one of the cranks, leaving me to ride a mile back with one leg. Two of our guys decided to bail on riding so I took one of the other rental bikes (not premium) and road it on a 10 mile loop. The rear hub was worn out, making sounds when freewheeling, the front derailleur needed to be adjusted and any force on the pedal caused the rear wheel rub the frame.

When we returned the bike we were surprised when they showed up exactly on time. We brought up that the premium bike had stripped the threads (likely from cross-threading when the pedals were put in, or possibly an issue prior to us renting the bike since it didn't event make it a mile) and we would like a refund for that one, and also told him the issues with the other regular bike. He said he couldn't authorize a refund, but could call his boss, and I said "yes, if you could". He didn't call his boss but instead asked me to write down my phone number and he would ask his boss later - "fine". A minute or two after we left the shop the employee called and said "the other pedals wont go back in, it wasn't like this when I took the other pedals out, I don't know that we will be able to give you a refund". I pointed out to him again that it was likely because he had cross threaded the pedals when he installed them, there isn't much you can do to strip the thread on a bike in less than a mile if the pedals are installed correctly.

I'm waiting to see if the owner calls me and gives me a refund, but I expect this will result in a credit card claim and a Better Business Burro complaint, but in the mean time I'm writing this to recommend finding somewhere else if you are looking to rent a bike.

Shop was closed for the season but Cameron was kind enough to do one off walk in rental for me. Great service and very nice well maintained hybrid bike. Very convenient to Capital trail. Highly recommend these folks!

Very friendly and accommodating when we didn't know how long we wanted to ride on a hot afternoon. And the price is very reasonable. The location is accessible to riding around town or down along the river and they were very helpful in recommending where to ride based on our riding experience and what we wanted to do.

This place was great. Location right on the capital trail and rental came with helmet and bike lock. Service was great. Helped with bike selection, tire pressure, seat height, everything. Prices were reasonable and had various rental periods. I’ll be back when I’m here next year.
