I had the opportunity to kayak the Milwaukee River from Thiensville to Brown Deer with Mike and some of my coworkers in July of 2021. The entire experience was fun and super organized. Mike shuttled us from Estabrook Park to Village Park in Thiensville where we unloaded our kayaks and launched. For about an hour and a half, we meandered down the Milwaukee River, taking in all the nature and the slow current. You’d have no idea you were in a major metropolitan area by being on this part of the river! It’s a nice change of pace of the hustle and bustle of the river downtown. The water was not deep at all. Once we made it to Badger Meter Park in Brown Deer, there was a shuttle ready to pick us up and take us back to our cars. Overall, it was an awesome day and Mike made sure it was a great experience for all. I highly recommend Mike and Adventure Milwaukee if you want a seamless kayaking experience in the Milwaukee region.

I've done a few excursions with Adventure Milwaukee and would highly recommend them! Each float was different and interesting. The guides are well-versed in kayaking, safety and river etiquette - which was perfect for a complete newbie like me! Give it a try, you will be happy you did.

We did the Southern Ozaukee Milwaukee River paddle and had an amazing time. We kayaked along the river with a beautiful Blue Heron in front of us! The guide told us she had seen an owl on that paddle previously too! It was not a strenuous trip, just a nice way to get outdoors and enjoy nature! We loved it so much we already booked another trip for in a couple weeks!

I have had the chance to do a few trips on the Milwaukee River with Adventure Milwaukee and it's always an amazing time. I had no idea how beautiful and accessible the river was until I got out on a kayak, and now I keep going back!

I've been pleasantly surprised every time I get on a boat with Adventure Milwaukee! Mike is super hard-working and professional and I always feel welcomed on the trips. He takes care of all the heavy lifting so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the views! The shuttle is very appreciated and always clean!

My wife and I recently did about a 5 mile paddle with Adventure Milwaukee and had the best experience. From the get-go they were responsive to my inquiries and booking was quick and easy. Prior to the day of our paddle we received emails with tips and all the necessary waivers (which were easily signed online).

When it was time for our tour Mike was super patient and explained the basics of kayaking, as it was the first time for both of us. The actual tour was unbelievably beautiful and peaceful, as well as well-guided. Transportation from and to the meet up location was also very well done.

Overall it was an awesome experience! I would definitely recommend!

Dropping into the Milwaukee River is like dropping into a magical ribbon of nature. The kayak ride was the perfect length of time (~90 minutes total), the pace was enjoyable, and the guide was great. The drop off to Estabrook Beer Garden was great - good place to share food, drinks, and stories of the paddle.

I wanted to do a kayak tour with some friends for my birthday, and Adventure Milwaukee was perfect! Our paddle was close to Milwaukee but was also very nature heavy and we didn’t feel like we were near the city at all. I highly recommend for anyone who is looking to escape from the city without needing to drive too far!
