Outstanding experience. Well worth the price. Mary brought us into her life for the day so we truly got to experience what horse ownership is like.

She did not rush us and made sure we (and the horses) were comfortable with each other before the ride. She gave clear and concise instructions on how to handle the horses.

The actual ride was awesome. Spent some time on small trails but spent a lot of time off trails going directly through the woods. We felt like we were co-owners of the horse by the end of the day.

I would highly recommend this experience to any level of rider. It is truly once in a lifetime.

Fabulous! The experience exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Mary is excellent and relaxed coach - she allowed us plenty of time to connect with the horses while on the saddle before heading out to the forest. I was able to practice skills in one day that I’ve never experienced as someone with years of trail riding(not like this!!) experience and riding lessons. This is the riding experience I’ve dreamt of! I will certainly be back. Worth every penny!!!

Mary was so wonderful, as were her horses, Hercules, Marilyn Monroe and Pony Boy! My mother and I have a pretty extensive history with riding but it’s been numerous years since we’ve been on a horse. Mary did a wonderful job explaining how to handle the horses and dos/don’ts. We rode through the woods surrounding her property, going up and down hills and by the water. It wasn’t a nose to tail ride but the horses certainly knew where they were and like to follow if you don’t take charge. We had a great time riding with her and we appreciated her love and knowledge of the horses. We’ll definitely be back to ride with Mary again and we highly recommend visiting for yourself 🙂

My boyfriend brought me here for my 23rd birthday, and it was truly wonderful!

You can tell Mary has a lot of love for the horses. There are a handful to choose from with different personalities- both large horses and smaller horses. They were all gentle and lovely.

I appreciate how much we got to practice steering the horses. Mary showed us how to ride around trees, go up and down hills, and gave us some freedom to navigate the woods off-trail. It was a great learning experience, and the trails were gorgeous.

This is an awesome opportunity for anybody who loves horses and wants an introduction to horseback riding. I learned a lot, and I’ll cherish the memories forever!

We has the best ride with Mary!! Absolutely not your typical ride! Definitely an adventure. We were greeted by Mary's sweet little dog who also accompanied us on our ride. We spent some time in the barn before practicing in the yard. Then we went out on some awesome trails and took the horses up and down hills and over obstacles. Mary knows her stuff and teaches the rider how to control the horse. If you're ready for a great riding experience where you feel like you are actually riding and not just following nose to tail then come try Adventure Riding! Such a cool experience can't wait to go again!

I had a great experience yesterday at Adventure Horse Riding in NYS. Mary is very friendly and explains how her horses are trained and has you walk it around so you will know each other before you get on it. I rode a beautiful bay mare named Marilyn Monroe who had the smoothest trot. The trails were awesome except I could have been just as happy with less hills to go down. Thank you Mary for an unforgettable experience.

We would highly recommend Adventure Horse Riding…it is a 5 star place in deed. We brought our 76 year old mom whom has a true passion for horses and she absolutely loved it. Mary and Tim were extremely kind and compassionate to our Mom’s needs as she has been diagnosed with dementia. In light of her condition she was able to recall her days of youth. The time we spent there was nothing but a pleasure and very therapeutic for our mom. The horses are very well kept, extremely obedient and truly loved. We have been to many facilities but this was the best experience we’ve had. The facility and grounds are remarkable. Mary and Tim are outstanding, educational and at the top of their game. An experience like no other to say the least.

This was the best riding experience I’ve had! I rode when I was younger in one-on-one classes, but this was much different. Mary was great at teaching the basics and then letting you use these new skills. All the horses are beautiful and very well-trained. The trails are gorgeous and Mary will cater the ride to your ability and preference. I’ll definitely be back. Hercules is a gem!
