\n\n

Specific Needs and Accessibility

\n\n

Before booking, guests with specific accessibility needs, children, or particular room preferences should contact the hotel directly to discuss requirements. I was checking on my nearby cottage and decided to book a night at this jewel, Dumb me, I booked the wrong dates but Amanda the manager on duty said no worries, and the room actually cost me less. Much nicer than I expected. Very comfy and tasteful room - simple but luxurious. Nice lobby. Wonderful indoor pool. We were feeling lazy and ate at the restaurant across the parking lot which was also very good. I will certainly recommend the hotel to our summer visitors when we don't have room at the cottage.

We stayed at the Bluebird Sunapee to attend a wedding that was held on the foot of the ski slope on 12/20/24 at Mt Sunapee. I picked Bluebird Sunapee because of its proximity to Mt Sunapee. We were delighted that we chose this hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the products in the bathroom were first rate, the amenities in the lobby area including coffee all day were fantastic and the rooms were warm despite the single degree temperatures outside. We brought of black Labrador retriever with us and appreciated the dog comfort stations at two areas adjacent to the parking lot and we were thrilled to find the adjacent field were we could play ball with our dog in the light snowfall. The staff texted breakfast places that they recommend and we were so happy to have a delicious breakfast at the Blue Loon bakery. We were very happy with the accommodations and every single staff person was kind, caring and concerned that we were enjoying our stay.

We stayed here by accident on thanksgiving night when a snow storm forced us off the highway, and I’m so glad we ended up here! Great value for the price. It was super cozy and also kid friendly. My son was able to play air hockey in the game room, lounge in the spacious and tasteful lounge areas, and I loved the fireplace on the first floor. Well curated mini-store with local snacks and gifts. I don’t ski but really appreciated the detail of the locker room with special space to dry your ski/now boots and store gear. Wish I had my swim suit because the pool looked inviting too. Comfortable rooms and accommodating staff. Loved the thoughtful design elements throughout the building. All around great experience especially after a stressful drive in the snow! Next time hope to try the pub/restaurant next door too.

Simply awful experience. I put down a refundable deposit on a hotel room, and the hotel was sold in the meantime. I needed to cancel my reservation because my family changed our travel plans. What should have been a simple call or email took me 3 emails, 4 phone calls, and more than 2 weeks to get a check refunding my credit card deposit. Most of the time I called no one was available to pick up. No one ever returned my voicemails.

I know transitions are tough, but their follow up was poor over the course of more than a week while I feared I would never get my deposit back. The nail in the coffin was a long overdue check with a cheery letter. I would have really appreciated a "so sorry you didn't get your deposit back right away and it took so much effort on your part" rather than "we're sad we won't get to host you this time". I won't be making another reservation with them anytime soon.

My advice to them. Apologies go a long way. Consider that the next time you contact the customers you put through the ringer.

Really had a great stay here! The room was clean, well furnished, and spacious. The hotel itself was cozy and had a great atmosphere, there's also a great restaurant a stone throws away which was very convenient - you can walk to it. Wifi was actually really good as well 80/80 or 100/100mbps consistently which was really nice as the area is mountainous and has spotty cell reception for most carriers.

For the price it's probably one of best value in the Sunapee area for hotels.

My family had a relaxing and low key vacation in sunapee. We went in the off season so the hotel was fairly empty. We enjoyed the game room, lounge with tv where we had our own movie nights and the room was spacious and comfortable beds. Will definitely stay at bluebird again

We would call Bluebird a hidden gem. Spacious room with comfy seating/dining area, and VERY comfortable bed.
No kitchen or restaurant facility might bother some, but there are numerous very good restaurants in the area..amd one of them right next door.
A short drive to Sunapee Mountain ski area , and also picturesque towns make for excellent day trips.
Nice heated pool, and very cosy common area with fireplace await your return.
Only suggestion is a few pegs in the room to hang ski gear/clothes.
Highly recommend and would stay again!
