I was a little nervous to go but it turned out to be such a wonderful experience. The reindeer remind me of dogs - playful, shake out their fur, and they get the zoomies! They were fun to watch and pet and the staff were very informative and friendly. It was a nice leisurely outing in a beautiful birch forest with such beautiful sweet animals, and then we ended with hot cocoa and cookies. Definitely recommend it if you’re visiting Fairbanks. It was a highlight of our trip for me.

What an awesome experience to walk with the reindeer. Great tour. Tyrone was an amazing guide along with his staff. We even got to take pictures with the reindeer. After the tour they provided us cookies and hot chocolate. Delicious. It was raining lightly, but it didn’t affect the tour at all. The tour lasted two and half hours. What a great morning experience.

This was a wonderful experience that made our trip to Alaska extra special! The one-on-one with the reindeer, the special introductions with each reindeer's name and personality, then the walk through the woods with them...amazing, followed by a great photo op and finished up with homemade cookies and hot chocolate! The speakers taught us so much and I loved the story behind how this ranch came to be. You must make time for a visit here!

We had a great time at Running Reindeer Ranch. A very unique experience.
Tyrone did our tour and he did a great job of sharing his experience and telling the story of how the ranch came to be.
We got a chance to meet all the reindeer and learn their stories. After introductions, we took a walk in the forest with them. Learning more about them, their environment and getting the opportunity to take photos with the reindeer. When we finished the walk the staff provided us with hot chocolate and cookies.
This was a great experience and had a great time at the ranch. Definitely recommend taking the time to visit Running Reindeer Ranch.

We spent a sunny afternoon in late Sept at Running Reindeer Ranch, and had a great experience! The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole experience was both relaxing and educational. We brought our kids (ages 6 and 9) with us, and while they got a little fidgety during the presentation (after being up late aurora-watching), they also retained several facts about reindeer/ caribou and both mentioned petting the reindeer as one of their top experiences in Fairbanks. It was lovely enjoying a slow, short walk in the woods, learning all about the ranch and individual reindeer onsite, and getting to interact with the reindeer throughout the afternoon.
I was a little apprehensive after all the safety warnings (apparently autumn is a higher-tension season for reindeer) but although we saw some of the reindeer clashing antlers, we never felt unsafe or alarmed at all by their behavior. The reindeer were very chill - I would say this is safe/ approachable for kids, although the content is geared a little more towards adults or older kids just in terms of pacing. (I'm not sure how many young kids you do get - we would have been open to a shorter, family-centric tour if that was an option! Just a thought. We may be one of the few bringing kids to a stay-up-all-night trip to Fairbanks!)
Overall, HIGHLY recommend, one of the best investments we made on this trip! Our group even had some repeat customers who came back to experience this again. Thank you for everything!!

Great place. If you have children, it's a great place for them to learn about reindeer. Jane is super knowledgeable and passionate about her reindeer. She and her staff know each one like the back of their hand, these animals are loved and spoiled. The walk was great and Jane's staff was always present and alert to make sure everyone was happy and safe. For the walk there is small amount of incline, but every stop has a bench for sitting. You have a chance to take a picture with the reindeer at the end. Every bit of the experience was thought out closely. I highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the reindeer tour and the scenery. We learned all about reindeer and the ranch. It was a beautiful sunny day and the birch and Aspen trees were gloriously yellow as they changed color for Fall. We got to walk with and pet the reindeer as we toured. The staff was great, and the animals were a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

Amazing staff and great animal/nature experience! Tyrone was an incredible host/guide with so much information about their herd at the ranch. We learned so much information! He was hilarious and made it a funny and a very inviting story time listening and meeting each reindeer. The other staff was so nice and the walk through their woods and property was really something special just to be around the animals in such a natural way. Loved this experience, highly recommended!
