I am a wedding photographer, and had the privilege to photograph a July wedding at Jan Serr Studio. It is a dream for a modern, industrial-chic wedding! The floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the cityscape, creating a stunning backdrop for both ceremonies and receptions. The tall, modern industrial ceilings add to the venue’s sleek, open feel, making it perfect for couples who love a contemporary aesthetic with tons of natural light. I love weddings at Jan Serr Studio! I love how conveniently Jan Serr is located almost as much as I love its modern industrial vibes - it’s a close thing. Located in one of the trendier spots in Milwaukee, it also happens to be right by Black Cat Alley and the Oak Leaf trail granting access to both artistic graffiti walls and a surprising amount of green and trees amidst all the cool east side buildings. The Venue itself is stunning inside and out - concrete and steel and glass - all with a warm feel to it. And the view from the main window is to die for - providing and incredible canvas for all the wedding action!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! To Katie and the rest of the Jan Serr staff for making our October 2023 wedding so amazing. From the beginning Katie was friendly, incredibly responsive, and so helpful to us through the planning process. She helped us with the layout of the room as well as parking for our guests, signage in the building, and overall just being a great coordinator. The bartenders were AWESOME and we have gotten so many compliments on them from our guests. The space is incredible and with their string lights and the GIANT windows it made the night feel magical. We would 100% do it all again, and I will be recommending them to friends and family.

I was there for a wedding and thought the place was super nice. There is a huge window that was the backdrop for the couple and a nice outside balcony where you have the lake as a backdrop. The dinner was catered by Sam's. Which was excellent. The strawberry, goat cheese and arugula salad did not disappoint. There is street parking or 2 pay lots right next to the venue that are decently priced.

Jan Serr, especially Katie was the best to work with for our wedding venue and catering! Katie was extremely quick to respond and helped to accommodate for all of our specific asks. We did a few firsts at Jan Serr: (1) requested for cup ramen (Asian ramen noodle snack) as an added late night snack, (2) inputted a window installation to bring more greenery (worked with Jane Kelly Florals), and (3) had a Korean Drumming group perform right before dinner.

All of this went so smoothly. Additionally, Katie would go out of her way to make recommendations to keep our schedule moving along smoothly and even ways to save on cost!

Katie was extremely attentive and present throughout the whole planning process and especially during the tasting, final walk through, rehearsal, and the day of. She's a big reason the planning process went smoother than anticipated.

A HUGE bonus is how delicious the food was! The plates we got were booked perfectly and most importantly not dry which is pretty common with wedding caterers. The food tasted just like it did during the tasting.

Working with Katie from Jan Serr, Jane Kelly Florals, and Sound By Design, the venue was turned into a beautiful spot our guests had so much fun celebrating in.

Lastly, this space is also used for performances and concerts which helped to ensure our sound quality was top notch. I had a friend that mentioned she thought the music was being performed live at one point because the sound quality was so great.

Highly recommended and an extremely affordable choice for a wedding venue!

I've seen several guitar concerts here. It's a beautiful venue and the night skyline just breathes city life into the performances. It would be a spectacular wedding venue for anyone looking.
Update: I went to a wedding here and it was STUNNING. The views, the lights, the setup. Just beautiful.

As a wedding videographer, I enjoyed Jan Serr Studio. The view is amazing and the space truly is a vibe. The parking is a bit limited and actually getting to the studio is a bit of a maze, but once you're there it's great!
