We absolutely loved kicking off our trip with a 3hour White Water Rafting Tour on the Arkansas River through Browns Canyon. Level 1-3 Rapids were perfect for our 9 and 12 year old. Our Guide Ben was outstanding. Skilled, knowledgeable and attentive to all in his care. He made it super fun with extra spins in the rapids but always kept us safe. Fun and Welcoming Group of Outfitters - highly recommend!

Mountain Man Trip 24 was memorable! We had an awesome time with Craig as our guide! Dude had to handle 4 novices in the numbers and did an outstanding job! He was personable, funny, but had a great command presence. He’s a good young man! We got stuck on a rock at one point (as I said, we were novices) and Craig to command of the situation and had us doing things we never thought we’d do. It was the highlight of our trip in the mountains! When you book, see if you can get Craig to guide your float. You will not be disappointed!

Rafting through Brown’s Canyon all day on the Arkansas river with American adventures was the best rafting we’ve done! It was better than the Gauley in West Virginia! The river was nonstop ripples to rapids up to class 3. We felt very safe with our awesome guide, Sam! He maneuvered our raft expertly through all the technical challenges of rocks and obstacles! We were even able to jump off cliffs and surf some waves. I’m very glad I wore the (included) wetsuit & booties because the water was in the mid 50s! He was great with the area history and at pointing out all the rock formation animals along the way. We had a great lunch provided and then hiked up the rocky ledges to see our upcoming rapids in one section. He did a great job making it really fun for us! We are very happy with him and American Adventure Expeditions! We hope to come back again to this beautiful area!

We booked a morning half day Brown's Canyon whitewater rafting trip with American Adventure Expeditions (8/4/24). Our guide for the trip was Charlie. First off....CHARLIE WAS AWESOME!! He was also a fellow Wisconsinite!!

I can't say enough good about American Adventure Expeditions and Charlie. We were first time rafters (a little nervous, not knowing what to expect). We decided to get our own (family) boat which cost a little bit more, but was well worth it for the family fun we had. American Adventure Expedition's equipment was awesome, everything was in great shape and first class. They gave great instruction before leaving and also once we got on the water. Ten minutes into the trip, we felt like we had known Charlie our whole life. Charlie did an excellent job giving us historical information on the area. Each rapid we came into, he gave us a mental walkthrough before we entered it so we knew what to expect. Charlie was a standup comedian on the side, so we had great joking around and bantering back and forth the whole trip. Most important of all, Charlie got us down the river safe and sound. I could not ask for more out of a trip. Top notch company and guide.

If you are considering a whitewater rafting trip down the Arkansas river in Colorado, definitely do it with American Adventure Expeditions....you will not regret it. Make sure to ask for Charlie if he is available!! Thanks Again Guys!!!

An exceptional experience from booking to finish.
Most likely due to the friendliness, experience and competence of the staff...this was a 'don't miss it' adventure.
Oh wait, the natural beauty was breathtaking and we met some great folks...but being so well prepared allowed us to relax and enjoy the trip.
Make no mistake...I am POSTIVE our guide, sleepy Nate, could have navigated the river safely with NO help from us, he taught us a enough to make us(me!) feel like active participants. And it was FUN.
Be prepared for dad jokes, riddles, and getting your leg pulled.

We booked American Adventure for our group rafting trip post-wedding and it did not disappoint! Sunshine was so accommodating of our big group and very responsive and attentive to all our needs.
