A great kayak tour.

Grace was an awesome guide. She brought us to a few caves and told us about how the caves formed and minutia about Madeline Island since she's been coming to the island since she was little.

The tour itself leaves from the state park side of Big Bay. Grace took care of all the boat details and made sure we were all properly instructed before heading out. We headed east out of the bay and then southwest along the coast of the island. There are interesting geological formations all along the way. 3 hours fly by and you return to the starting point.

We had a nice group of boats with 3 tandems and 2 solos.

My husband & I took a half day cruise with 2 other couples & I can't tell you how wonderful it was! Our captain was knowledgeable, fun, & just a joy. We had a great time & have memories for a lifetime.

I have to give a shout out to Brad at Adventure Vacations. My brother and I were kayaking to Raspberry Island when my kayak flipped in some heavy (for me) waves. We made it to the island but got stranded in the rocks. He came in short order and rescued us! He picked us up in 3 foot waves like the pro he is. Best of all he had a great attitude the whole time! I highly recommend!

The customer service we recieved outstanding! When we got home from vacation, I realized the shirt my husband purchased was a 'womens' XL and was way to small for him. I reach out to Karen. I had expected a sorry we can't do any. But what I got was immediate action from her and through emails over a few days we found a perfect shirt that she sent me and I was able to return the one I purchased! I did not expect this at all from a tourist shop. this was small town treatment. Shop with confidence! Oh, and the store is full of such great things❣️

I can’t say enough about out experience getting out to Oak island for camping. They adjusted their schedule to get us there. Karen and Natalie worked together to make it happen. Another Karen gave us our ride out and was a pro and gave us info for our trip. Brad picked us up and regaled is in interesting facts about the area. Can’t wait to use their services again

The staff at Adventure Vacations is amazing! They made our trip to the island so much fun. We rented a boat from them for the day to see the islands. I took the boat/kayak tour to Devil's Island, one of the outer islands especially famous for its highly sculpted arches and sea caves. It was the highlight of my trip! Justin our guide was delightful. Upon my request, I was provided with a wetsuit which fit perfectly, Even though the company is located on Madeline Island, the boat picked me up at a marina in Bayfield, Wisconsin. After that, the first stop was Raspberry Island where we toured the lighthouse, From there it was to Devil's Island where we got into the kayaks from the boat. The boat then followed along as we toured the sea caves and arches along one part of the coast. It was like meandering through a garden of modern sculptures.

If you are going to the Apostle Islands and like to kayak, I highly recommend this tour.
