Popped in for a quick bite and drink, and the atmosphere is amazing, the food and drink is great and the company is even better! Highly recommend if you’re looking for an off the map adventure, with great dishes. There are rooms for rent as well, which makes it a great spot to go explore and come back for a stay.

Just a perfect little room at a beautiful inn. We checked in a tad early which was really nice of Amy & her husband Matthew. Humongous towels, cut-up fruit in mini fridge, cozy couch and comfortable bed, and the historic feel of the room layout with all its nooks were some of our favorite things about the space. The restaurant downstairs was another great convenience and their food was delicious. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had dinner there. Very pleasant atmosphere, excellent service and great food. Homemade food in the best sense of the word. Big portions, fair pricing.

I paid $150 to stay in a room with a shower stall that did not drain for at least 15 hours after I used it for a very short shower. I reported the problem to the management and no one came to fix it. No one offered to partially compensate me for the loss of a morning shower. Otherwise the room was clean and the associated restaurant is quite good.

Stopped in to the birchwood to try some different food! Jambalaya! Was very tasty with a cold IPA! Fairly quiet but day after thanksgiving! Will definitely try it again!

Good, solid food. Parking can be a bit tricky if it's a busy time.

We all got the surf & turf special to splurge after our Wilton town hall wedding. We’ve been here before and just got apps but this was so good. Cooked perfectly. Flavor was amazing. Does not disappoint.

I almost never write a negative review, however, this was so bad that I felt compelled to share my experience. The birchwood Inn is a lovely Inn with a charming atmosphere and superb service. The bloody mary drink was exceptional. And that's where the goodness stops. It can lure you in, but our dinner was about the worst I can remember in recent times.

The roasted chicken which is on their menu, was so very salty, that we got sick even trying it. We boxed it to take it home, and thought we could doctor it up a bit. We tried and then it went straight to the garbage. I have never done that before. Can you imagine spending about $150 for two people and sending your meal into the garbage ?
The other dish was the fried fish platter with soggy onion rings. The breaded coating on the fish tasted like cardboard, so I peeled it off and found the fish overcooked.

I am sorry to share this review. The people there are so nice, but they need to know our experience. Awful dishes were served to us. What a shame.
