I stayed here from July to December 2022. I fell in love with it being right on the Connecticut River. It was so quiet and serene. It was a bit of a drive for me to work, but I enjoyed the drive until it snowed...the town of Lyme was very cute and small, 2 restaurants and one local gas station store with a small selection, and limited produce. The town shuts down around 8pm. If you want a Walmart or grocery store, that would be about 30 minutes in Lebanon.. I always made sure I had my grocery list and checked it twice.

The landlord, Loren, was always available to help with anything or answer questions. He was great at communication and approachable.

The room itself was a studio with a small kitchenette, table, and two chairs with a queen size bed and a bathroom with a shower. They have done a nice job remodeling the room. The heating is floor and was so nice when the weather turned cold.

I was on the bottom floor, which I liked, but heard a lot of the other tenants walking or workingout above me, and there was no ac, which, I had to get a fan, a couple of summer nights that were really hot.

Overall, if I ever need to go back to New Hampshire. I would love to stay here again and recommend Home on the Connecticut to everyone I know who may be traveling to NH. Thank you for making it a home away from home!

The location is beautiful on the bank of the Connecticut river. Nice yard. However the room we got needs some improvement. As well as the quality of towels and toiletries. Breakfast is ok but not as you might expect from a B&B that tries to make breakfast as its main attraction. On the second day of our stay in fact there was lack of almost everything, including fruit, bread toasts or cooked breakfast, remaining only scrambled eggs and pancakes. The owner is friendly, but there is a bit more to be done to make this a recommendable stop in the area.

We highly recommend this hotel. We got a lovely warm welcome from our hosts, a beautifully big room, clean, comfortable and just what you need after a long journey. The breakfast is also lovely, plenty of choice with hot and cold food buffet all freshly prepared. Good coffee and cake available all day in the living room. Our host told us to treat the place like it was our Mom's house, so we went star gazing at night with hot chocolate and sat in the covered porch with cake after. Host, room and breakfast is super. Lovely experience. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Amazing stay! Very accommodating to my Gluten Free eating! Every morning I woke to a new, delicious, freshly baked Gluten Free breakfast item! In addition, she made sure that I had a full selection of Gluten Free breakfast items to choose from!! I have never been to a B&B that was this accommodating to my food needs!! I love that they also use local organic food! Rooms are wonderful and enjoyed my private bath room. Home is welcoming and relaxing. Amazing views of the Connecticut river. Very relaxing! I HIGHLY recommend!

I enjoyed my stay at HOTC from March to September 2023. It is truly off the Connecticut River which made it calm and peaceful with an amazing view.

Loren was attentive to his guests and
answered all questions/concerns promptly.

The drive to and from Lyme is beautiful no matter what route you take (there are a few different ways) and I enjoyed them all!

The best advice I can give is don’t use your phone for directions. Go get lost and explore because you can find things much closer than Lebanon, like the Dollar General in Fairlee or Hannaford in Bradford.

I love to stay at B&Bs for the breakfast and because it is usually couples, no kids. Well, breakfast here left much to be desired and there were many kids running about, literally. I had to dodge them in the common areas both inside and out. I love kids. I have 3 of my own. I left them home. I simply did not expect so many at a B&B. As for the accommodations, this home is on beautiful grounds on the CT River. It’s lovely. That’s it. The room seemed clean enough but I agree with another reviewer that towels and toiletries could be better. My husband was less thrilled than I with just about everything. He called our room “a bed in a bathroom.” The sink & tub/shower combo were a part of the room - no walls or privacy - only the toilet had walls & a door (whew!) We wanted to enjoy fresh air but only one window had a screen. The TV is like an antique and has no reception for regular TV channels. Basically, as the host (no hostess to be found, by the way) said, the TV is for playing DVDs only. They did provide a selection of DVDs and luckily we found some we hadn’t seen and happy to report that they played without any issues. We still would’ve preferred some regular programming like sports or news channels. Internet was fine. Masks were mostly enforced and we complied while on premises.

at least in our opinion. Arrived on Friday afternoon for 2 night stay. Kitchen sink loaded with unwashed dishes, and garbage bins at the rim, not a great impression. Our room was advertised with private bath. Yes there was a tub and shower private to the room in fact IN the room, within six feet of the bed with no door or privacy.. The vanity/sink was basically at the foot of the bed. The toilet was in the former room's CLOSET. Flat screen TV on the wall, maybe a 19 incher, ( never turned it on) A fairly loud air conditioner. Not the room we expected. or comfortable for two people. The entire room was small and with the "bath" in the room it was not for us. We could not get a return of our prepayment for the night and did not stay. The owner seemed like a nice guy and am sure he takes great pride in his establishment so for those of you who would enjoy the setting etc, enjoy but No more B&Bs like this for us. For less money we ended up with a super comfortable suite a bit down the road.

Looking forward to nice time at a Bed and breakfast. The room was nice we opened a few windows to let fresh air into the room. Little did we know no screens many insects came into the room. The gas fireplace was not hooked up very disappointed owner said that they didn't hook it up because they weren't sure if they would be open during the winter. The breakfast was very disappointing breakfast sandwich and breakfast bowl were ordered the previous night. They were Jimmy Deans from the grocery store. We have been to other B&B during this pandemic and had homemade breakfasts and inn keepers who cared if we were have a good time and made things right.
