The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were fortunate at this time of the year to get a room change from the fourth floor to the third floor. Being an older couple we would have found going to the fourth floor to be difficult because of the stairs that run from the third floor, which is the top floor serviced by an elevator. Everything was extremely clean. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of pastries , with yogurt, bacon, and eggs cooked to order. We would have no hesitation in staying here again for another mini-vacation.

The Lyme Inn has become our first choice for a tranquil and romantic getaway. It offers comfy rooms in a charming setting on sleepy New England village green that is just a few minutes off of the Interstate, so, easy to get to yet providing a feeling of being far away. It is big enough to meet our lodging needs for comfort and spaciousness while being really cozy at the same time. The innkeeper, Jack, is friendly while not intrusive. The included breakfast in the pleasant dining room includes yummy and varied muffins and pastries and, of course, local pure maple syrup. The staff is friendly and so has been every other guest we have chatted with on our multiple visits. Ariana's Restaurant, on the premises, offers an innovative dining experience blending country friendliness with urban sophistication. The Dartmouth Ski Way, a few minutes up the road, is a local hill that offer fun skiing for a day away from the crowds at the big resorts.

The Lyme Inn is an awesome place located in a quintessential New England town. My wife and I stayed in the Dartmouth Suite which was spacious, well appointed, and had a fireplace which was great to have on a cold weekend. We had dinner at Ariana's (located in the Inn) on Friday night which was fantastic. And we loved the excellent breakfast served each morning. Service was excellent throughout our stay. My wife and I stayed here for (2) nights. I can only give the Lyme Inn superlatives. Right from sleeping in the Dartmouth Suite to the superb breakfasts created by Hilary both mornings. The public rooms and the Dartmouth were wonderfully decorated and furnished. This inn would be a perfect setting for a rom-com movie. It epitomizes everything one would want in an out-of-the-way New England village. Lastly, there is Jack Elliott, the proprietor, ever so helpful and friendly. He knows where to go and how to get there. Truly, an unforgettable and perfect stay.

My fiancé and I got engaged here last year. We booked a trip this December for his birthday and to celebrate our one-year engagement. The Lyme Inn never disappoints! The staff surprised us with a room upgrade and we had nothing but the best service the whole time we were there. The rooms are also so cozy and the perfect New England getaway. Beautiful area of Lyme! A most comfortable and clean place! Loved the amenities in the room and we enjoyed a gourmet meal at Ariana’s! We stayed here with our family one summer and then as a couple and it never disappoints! Whenever we return from California to New Hampshire, we hope to stay here again!

Clean, nicely decorated room. Lyme is a very small town, and this was an ideal place to get a good night's sleep. The only reason I didn't give it a maximum rating is because the restaurant they have was closed the evening we got in. The room was a bit pricey, but that's likely due to the fact that we were staying there during "peak" leaf season.
