Lehman cave is awesome. I did the 30 minute gothic room tour. The ranger did the perfect mix of talking and letting the group roam and take pictures. They have the most concentration of cave shields in the world with about 207. The display of stalagmites and stalactites was very impressive as well. I highly recommend going on the tour and doing a longer tour if you have the time and it's not too booked up.

I highly recommend visiting this park because there is this amazing cave system! This park has the most shield formations anywhere in the world, which were explained to me by a ranger to be very unique formations. I did the hour and a half tour and I didn't purchase tickets ahead of time. They have a limited number of tickets to purchase as a walk-in but you have to get to the ranger station as soon as they open because people do line up. I guess I count myself lucky because I got there 5 minutes after opening and got in line and was able to secure a tour. It wasn't the palace tour which is their 2-hour tour, but it was the next best thing! If you're traveling in the area definitely make this part of your stop. This is one of the most quiet and peaceful national parks I've ever been to.

Fantastic cave experience! Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. The rock formations were extensive and distinct from others we've seen. The Great Basin National Park is very much worth a visit as a whole.

Very unique experience. Caves were so beautiful and fascinating. Only reason for 4 stars is sell out so quickly and we we're stuck with short tour but maybe that's all you need.

Tours book up fast so plan ahead and book online. There seemed to be some walk ins available but sparingly. Have to be 5 and older for one of the tours. Even without a tour the visitor center is worth a visit. Nice cafe next door. Awesome educational mock ups of inside cave complete with working flashlights and replicas of creatures found inside caves, formations, even star gazing info and recreations. Staff is super friendly and helpful

Book your cave tours way in advance. They don't take walk -ins even if there are no-shows. Trails are pretty. There is snow in May and some areas are closed off. Best to call in advance.

It's an OK visitor center for a less traveled park. There are a few nice displays and a small gift shop. There is another gift/food shop next door. The rangers were super friendly so that was a plus. There are some trails and the picnic area nearby and a bunch of fruit trees. Check out the Great Basin Visitor Center in Baker, it's worth the stop.
