By far, the best place in the Chicago area for all your SCUBA needs. I am a retired professional rescue diver, and have been dealing with them for over 20 year, and they always went out of their way to service our needs. Now that I am retired, I still dive recreationally, and they are always on top of the business, and assisting with any needs that should arise The team consistently delivers top-notch service, ensuring my gear is in prime condition for any underwater expedition. Their expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to safety have been invaluable throughout my diving career. Incredibly knowledgeable and competent staff as well as a well put together shop. I have gone on 2 trips with DJs and the trips are always well planned out and run very smoothly from beginning to end.

Extremely nice people, more than willing to help out any of their customers, or potential customers. Very knowledgeable staff including front counter help, and dive instructors alike. Dive instructors never rush you, making new divers feel extremely at ease. I've taken a few certification courses here and will never go anywhere else. I've made all my equipment purchases through this company as well. They back their gear 100%.

DJ's are heavily involved in charity, donating their time and talents to numerous causes for our military vets and other worthwhile charities. If you are thinking about entering the world of Scuba or just testing the waters, this is the place to go.

These guys are awesome. I have experienced their service as well as another dive shop in the city (I initially started my certification course elsewhere and took half of my close water dives elsewhere and asked to finished them at DJ Scuba mainly due to scheduling conflicts with my work, but I also because I noticed that the other instructor had no patience to answer questions -more than once- or to go over skills again in the close water dive in the pool). Not these guys. The difference is night and day. Lenny was an awesome instructor and I highly recommend him. All the folks at DJ Scuba are fantastic and highly enthusiastic about everything. I finished my certification course with them and will continue with the advanced ones as well.

Obtained my PADI open water diving certificate here with Marty. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Very flexible with my crazy work schedule. They organize a diving club that takes trips to the diving meccas of the world. Definitely worth checking out if you need gear or a certification!
