My husband recuperated extremely well once he arrived at British House. All the staff were really on top of his needs. I really appreciated that I was asked for input on his care. I also valued their flexibility in meeting his needs.

The staff at the British Home made all of the difference for my 97 yr old mother's care. In her closing years, she needed a great deal of personal attention to small things that give a person a sense of dignity and pride. We were very grateful for their attention to detail the staff showed working this elderly population. Mom started in the assisted living side of the facility and moved to the rehab side after multiple hospitalizations. It was good to have the senior staff continuity between the different phases of care.

My Mother feels very well cared for. I have no complaints so far, except for one broken elevator, that bugs me. The staff seem really attentive, warm and are very, very good at what they do. I am especially grateful to all the rehab therapists, nurses, CNAs and activity person.

After a few weeks stay at a hospital I will not mention, I was sent to The British Home rehabilitation center because I had maybe 10% movement in my arms and legs. I cannot express the amount of professional and very efficient care I received during my very lengthy stay there. The medical staff alone and the care I received from them which includes all Drโ€™s Nurses and CNAโ€™s out did that of the hospital that sent me there. They were caring and actually listened to my questions and answered every one of them. Even the office workerโ€™s and Administrator would greet me on the way to PT/OT with a smile and a โ€œ Hello or Ggod Morning โ€œ to start the day off like that always put a smile on my face. I cannot express how great the therapists were from both physical and occupational therapy. They would come to get me for my rehab and let me tell you, I was in pain and at first didnโ€™t want to move, but these exceptional Exceptional Therapists knew how to motivate a patient and make your therapy a part of my day I really looked forward to. The progress I made surprised even myself, that I cannot express in words my gratitude to all there for giving me my life back, I would and will definitely recommend the British Home to any of my family or friends who may be in a situation were they need the services that I did .

Okay for services. I sense a little shortage of staff but quality of care was okay. The personnel at the facility were professional and helpful to my wife and me as well as for Tom with regards to his treatment services. However during the beginning of his stay I was unable to contact someone for a specific concern with the functioning of the phone to his room. We managed eventually to contact Tom after he used his roommates phone. Eventually I was able to talk with the social services department of British Homes Rehab. Ctr. The personnel contacted me that Tom got Covid Virus which thet said would be treated with the proper medication.

Zero stars ... As a pharmacy technician for long term care this is the most awful place I have ever seen. I feel extremely bad for the patients who have to live there. And unfortunately my grandmother was placed here against her will. The place is understaffed and they negotiate people's health like a car dealership. the facility has made my family extremely uncomfortable. They have one dear CNA and I thank God for her and a few dear nurses ! But that's the only good I have seen. And since they are understaffed I've had to double check everything for my grandmother when I'm there because staff is sitting down on the phone and paying no attention. And you should know The whole administration is Very unprofessional and manipulative not to mention they have staff Sleeping at the nurses station on the desk ,on the job. Also they have random strangers from a temp agency come in every day to cover the shifts to fill in. As of yesterday I see The administration lies to the families in order to maintain control over the patient and to generate revenue from the patient and family.. insurance companies must be having field days with this place. And the POA was able to pay 2 months up front without her knowledge and her permission. Now mind you this is on the insurance's dime before they deemed the patient with dementia . Be careful where you put your loved ones. they also have a Very sneaky Social worker named lima and a " Buisness woman "administrator (as she put it) named Isabelle who calls the POA first if you call the facility to speak with them and have questions. Very unprofessional customer service, so make sure you have a POA you can trust. when the patient has good cognitive memory , active thinking , can sign her full name in cursive and a will to live , they slowly try to take away they're independence. She's not terminally ill and has a family who can care for her at home. If The POA ignores all family requests so they do as well. The Staff recently put up signs saying no cameras so know that before you go ๐Ÿ˜‰ the kitchen seems to be is out of order the first week there, turning lights off early before visiting hours end so family will leave and feel uncomfortable . Noticed it was not stocked everyday for the patients, rooms are not cleaned , floors aren't mopped, staff loses laundry , and belongings, takes days before laundry returns. I even found her clothes on the roommates side of the room set up for the next day . And the nurses forget the names of the medications. While the doctor switches medications and makes symptoms worse. She also caught C-DIFF twice and they accept patients that arent ready to be released from hospitals and are contagious it is all a game with these places. Do not recommend at all. For your loved ones.

I would not recommend this place to my enemy! They can only be existing on past laurels. I don't know how they're still operating nor why they haven't been reviewed by the state's medical boards. Very short staffed, quality of nurses, and CNA's is quite poor. My mother rang and rang the call bell, and they refused to come to her aid. They began to simply ignore her. Then, they insisted that she come out of her room and mingle with the rest of the residents there, knowing they had a Covid outbreak in the facility! She managed to avoid the virus for the past three years, but caught Covid there! She had not contracted it previously because she was fully vaccinated and boosted. But she caught it when she was sent to British Home/ Cantata in Brookfield the lash the day she was supposed to be released! And even then, knowing she had Covid, they tried to send her back to her assisted living facility. The MediVan, nor the AL facility, fortunately, wouldn't take her back. I will forward this place at all cost!
