I live at a retirement community, Ginger Cove in Annapolis MD, where Flix does all of the food service. On our menu there is a line saying “ Talk to the chef to have your food customized.” Sounds great, but it seems it is all for show. I have a very simple request. Namely I like my vegetables cooked al dente...firm to the bite. I have spoken to the chef about this and to the food service manager. They are very nice, say they will fix it in a week BUT fail to do so.Niceness doesn’t mean much if you are not willing to follow through.I would like customer service to contact me to solve this problem.

My daughter goes to an upscale school that uses them & I can say they've ruined her love ofchicken breast! It's so dry, she can't even chew it she says. Now she refuses to eat it at home (no matter how good). The pasta is often dry & many times not even cooked. The parents are now getting together & all reporting the same things. Flik refuses to take any responsibility & is blaming it on the kids - so a few of us are taking to the net to make sure people/schools know what they're getting into... 🙁

My company uses flik and is subsidized. The price for somethings are cheap while others are the same or a little more expensive than what you'd get elsewhere even subsidized. There is a variety of food and I would say the food is above average but not by a lot. The staff is very welcoming and courteous. The best part about the flik that is contracted at my company is that they allow us one free fruit every day so flik is definitely heading towards the right direction.

One star is to many! Wait on food for to long, not enough room to cook! Kitchen cook comes out to remove food that already on plate without changing gloves to clean ones! Last time for me!
